Goalie Yann Danis has cleared waivers and has been assigned to the AHL's #OKCBarons
Maybe Roy is going down to Stockton too? Either that or they plan to roll 3 goalies. We could use Hovinen next year by the way things are looking so far.

Do you really want to get rid of your top AHL goalie though? Wonder if it's better to allow Hoivinen to go to Europe to close the year out.

Either way something has to give by next year.

I think it is a test of what lies ahead... Dubnyk for 62 games next year with Roy and Hovinen splitting the remaining for a contract in 2015... if nothing else changes down in the 'A' then maybe it is Danis as starter (half of schedule) and Hovinen Roy splitting the rest...

Apparently Danis not in OKC yet.

OKC is having a much better night. Top line is dominating. Cornet with 2, Cheechoo, Arcobello, Rajala, and VV with the goals.

Good for the Barons. Tough way to lose last night but they sound like they've got it going tonight.

7-3 win for OKC, good job!

Cheechoo went 1-4-5
Arcobello and Cornet both with 2-2-4

Safe to say this line tore Charlotte a new exit and also swept the 3 stars among them.

Hovinen went the distance for the win, stopping 28 of 31 shots.

Nice to hear that Hovinen got off to a winning start to his Barons career.

Is that the Randy Jones that played for the Flyers and the Kings? Wow.

Good to see Bill Scott pick up some legitimate veteran players.

No excuses now.

Super. We now have two former NHL mainstay d-men in OKC who are better than three of our four bottom pairing NHLers at the moment. Ugh.

Randy Jones was a plug in the NHL. Lets not go overboard on him.

There's a reason that neither of those guys got a sniff at the NHL level in the off-seasosn (or after the lockout). Just like Cheechoo, they are done at the elite level.

So are you the only one who hasn't seen the NHL's promo with Malkin dangling Clark all the way to OKC? Like Spawn said, they aren't NHLers anymore, or in Randy Jones' case never was.

Jones has played 365 regular season games in the NHl and 34 playoff games. THis makes it a little tough to say that the guy was never an NHL defenseman.

I constantly mocked Jones years ago (when he played for the Kings). Thought he shouldn't be in the NHL - much like Cam Barker. Probably had a few good years in his prime but he's done.

Damn, put this guy on the Oilers 2nd line in NHL 13 and he's just crushing checks and scoring goals. Too bad it's not real life

For whatever its worth he's been really, really solid for OKC. His last game he was the best player on either team.

I dunno if he has NHL chops anymore but he's one of the better players in the AHL right now I think.

How's Tyrvainen been? Always thought because of his style he'd have a good chance at making this team. Any chance he could be used for a 6-8 minute a night callup?

Can we call up Clark or Jones or did they sign AHL only deals?

They would be only AHL deals. Of course a player can be signed to a 2 way deal at any time as well.

Here's the Oilers current reserve list of 50 contracts:

http://www.capgeek.com/oilers/reserve-list/

Klefbom and Musil slide so they are currently at 48 contracts and could potentially sign 2 more players to NHL deals before hitting the limit.
