I'd rather deal him while he has value and get a guy that can immediately jump into our top-9 and produce.

ya, I like Urbom but we have so many God damn DMen (NHL, AHL, college) that he is pretty expendable.

Would gladly take Loktionov. Urbom is not too high of a price...

Urbom could be a regular as early as next season with Zidlicky and Harrold gone and someone traded. He's definitely 9th at least on the depth chart. To be honest, I'd rather see him on the third pairing than Harrold, who plays a little risky for my liking.

I think Urbom plays much riskier, but it'd be awesome for him to get some tutelage up here with Stevens.

Urbom does not play riskier than Harrold.

I much prefer the run to the Cup Final. Without Parise we probably don't get there.

Good points. Urbom is languishing in the system, I don't want him to bust waiting for a spot to open up. For me at least, Gelinas is the more valuable player and more likely to make the team in the next two years.

I'd be all for trading Urbom for some forward help, and it would be even better if he was packaged up with one of our NHL defencemen too.

Gelinas's shot is going to take him up that D prospect list.

Loktionov and Henrique played together on the Spitfires, no? I wonder if he is giving Lou the goods on him...

I dont recall ever seeing Loktionov play. But he seems small and from what the Kings fans say he didnt really fit there style and would fit more of a run and gun style offense.

Isnt this the same thing we say about Tedenby? I mean i know we need to add offense but it should be the right players for our style not a square peg in a round hole type player.

Unless we are going to play the game of get all the players we can and see what happens.

Urbom is definitely the prospect I'd be happiest with parting with paired with one our extra D. Throw in a pick, maybe Tedy for ***** and giggles and get something good Lou!!!

I mentioned before that I think Ottawa would be a good trading partner in regards to Urbom. They are really lacking in defensive depth plus they have a plethora of forward prospects. They also like Swedes.

Loktionov plays center, he didn't do well at wing for the Kings. Not sure if that would change if he came to NJ.

I'm expecting Henrique to go to wing, so we do have a spot for a center.

All I know is that he knows how to play defense. Tedenby doesn`t.

I don't know either. I just know they like Swedes and need a top-4 defenseman. They were also after Zuccarello so I don't think they would mind acquiring a small forward prospect.

5'11 187 lbs is hardly small but if you say he seems small then it probably means he doesn't play with his body.

I too am not sure what kind of player he is, I'd rather get a player that fits our system instead of another Tedenby.

LOL

He`s nothing like Tedenby. He`s their Russian version of Josefson.

I am confused!

Like the Josefson we believe the real Josefson can become or the one we have now that gets a lot of scoring chances but cant finish?

BTW i have full faith that Josefson will come around with points.

Because again i am not sure we need another (currently) fully defensive center.

Your right but beside Gio he would be our smallest forward. Kind of crazy that our smallest top 6 forward is Patty at 6'1 195/200 (according to newjerseydevils.com) Have a large group of forwards.
