I think it's going to be tough for the Stars to lose all seven of the remaining second games of back to backs. I can definitely see them losing six of the remaining seven.
Stars are now 30th (or 1st?) in the NHL in Times Shorthanded at 35.
They are 29th (or 2nd?) in Shots Against per Game with 34.1. Florida is proving stubborn to overcome. For comparison, Hitch's Blues allow 19.5 shots per game.
Luckily, that goes well with their 29th ranking in Shots For per Game which languishes at 25.6, better than only the Preds.
To be serious for a moment though, it is exciting to see national/Toronto media excited about a Dallas prospect. I didn't want that to get buried in the roster move thread.
Just to make us fell a tiny bit better ... at least we aren't the team that decided to bench Adam Larsson.

I have no idea but it better be a good reason. RT @mtoggel: @coreypronman Why isn't Adam Larsson not playing?
What has happened to player development in this league? It should be pretty ****ing simple .... young players have to play games. What ever level of hockey you want them to develop them in (WHL, OHL, QMJHL, USHL, College Hockey, Europe, ECHL AHL, NHL, etc.) .... it doesn't ****ing work on the bench. Playing games is all that matters.
We will know more tomorrow I am sure. Dillon's face might be sore. Maybe another roster move is in the works. Who knows. I cannot imagine that they would call Oleksiak up to not play him. A guy like Rome is fine sitting, as is daily victim Jordie Benn...
Loktionov apparently asked for a trade. He's small, but he's got top 6 potential, and I think he could be similar to Eakin and possibly even converted to wing.
Just some speculation, but here are a few moves I'd consider making:
Ryder + Morrow for Bleuger + Tangradi + 2nd + 5th (I know, I'm beating this proposal to death but I like it)
Robidas + Fiddler for Ballard + 3rd
Loktionov for 2nd + 3rd (the two picks we acquired)
And the line-up ends up looking like this:
Eriksson - Benn - Jagr
Whitney - Roy - R. Smith
Tangradi - Eakin - Vincour
Nystrom - Loktionov - Garbutt/Wandell
Do you think he'll be happy with 4th line minutes here? Maybe if we sent them Jagr. So Loktionov xould habe his minutes. Pardon typos, tablet typing is hard.
Loktionov is exclusively a center, shouldn't hinder R. Smith or Sceviour at all.
Agreed on them looking to the East though, and he also wants playing time, most likely top 6, which we simply don't have for him. But I figured it couldn't hurt to think about it, at least.
