If Jamison's group does manage to buy the 'Yotes - and if GJ actually owns 30% (unlikely) or has any operational control (possible/probable) - then he would be required to relinquish is small (~5%) stake in the Sharks. The League could require him to sell/transfer his stake before approving a 'Yotes sale - or set some deadline afterwards to complete a sale.

Didnt sell them to Hasso Plattner huh?... well, I guess its kosher to own minority shares in two or max 3 clubs, provided it doesnt exceed 10%, and it looks like Bell received some sort of special dispensation from the NHL when acquiring part of MLSE while already holding an ownership stake in the Habs.

The above post is neither. It must be the 1.8% of the Coyote fan base.
It's Deadline Delirium. Makes one act trollish, misread numbers, irrationally giddy, followed by getting nervous, panicking, sweating, then curling up... followed by a professional curler coming along and using the delirious in a game of human curling. It's a culture-bound syndrome like amok or piblokto only found in close proximity to professional hockey-grade ice when a team is about to be lost (or lost, then found again).

Barring dramatic, last-minute infusion of cash Greg Jamison won't meet Jan. 31 deadline to maintain lease agreement with City of Glendale

Looks like the end of the road for JIG

If anyone is selling the "new ownership group, which, according to sources, has arranged for financing that would allow for the purchase of the team from the league at a reported price of $170 million" is a hoax, I'm buying.

The problem, of course, is someone would have to buy the other side of the bet.

The new group is Ice Edge with additional funds provided by The Balkan

they're going to play 33% of their games in Phoenix, 33% in Atlanta and 33% in Saskatoon

Question? Why is the NHL so against moving this time to Quebec? Seeing how great Winnipeg turned out, you would think moving this team to Quebec would be a no brainer.

A mysterious Russian oligarch will buy the 'Yotes and move them to Alaska, since as Sarah Palin once reminded us you can see Russia from there.

Perhaps this new double secret prospective ownership group is headed by Anson Carter.

If Quebec's new arena was finished, I don't think they'd have any problem cutting bait at this point.

Submitted for board approval

Phoenix LXX: SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO

Oh yeeeeeaaaaah

Wooh!

Greg you got to let us know
Should they stay or should they go?
If you say "Stay" we'll be fine
As long as you meet that damn deadline
So you got to let us know
Should they stay or should they go?

Always lease lease lease
You’re happy when it's Bease
One day its verge, next day its track
So if you want us off your back
Well come on and let us know
Should they stay or should they go?

Should they stay or should they go now?
Should they stay or should they go now?
If they go there will be trouble
An’ if they stay it will be double
So come on and let us know!

This indecision’s bugging me
If you don’t want them, set them free
Exactly whom we supposed to believe
Don’t you know which lease even fits me?
Come on and let us know
Should you cool it or should you blow?

Spit!

Should they stay or should they go now?
Should they stay or should they go now?
If they go there will be trouble
An’ if they stay it will be double
So come on and let us know!

Should you own it or should you go?

Remember Don Levin's discussion w/ the NHL, the Coyotes are not on the table....

2015, and they could, but the whole point of the NHL is to keep existing teams in their current markets.
