Bruins Vs Sabres

This is going to get ugly IMHO. There's way too much bad blood between, not only the organizations but between certain players that have come in from other organizations this offseason. There's no love lost between THORNTON and SCOTT. Ditto CAMPBELL and OTT. You can tell LUCIC would love to pound KALETA so I think KALETA's lucky he's not able to play tomorrow night. MILLER would love to see SCOTT go after LUCIC and I think he will try and goad him. Bigger guys like BRENNAN, FILIGNO, REGEHR and McCORMICK (who will probably take KALETA's spot) like to mix it up and we have our own bigger guys like CHARA, MCQUAID, BOYCHUK and HORTON who don't mind dropping the gloves either. Maybe, just maybe, CJ sits BOURQUE and dresses MACDERMID. Andrew FERENCE might even drop the gloves and he can go for a middle-weight.

LUCIC will probably play SCOTT as he did LARAQUE and not take the bait. THORNTON will oblige and this will be the main event along with a few other tussles. Hopefully CJ is too smart to get sucked into giving any of LUCIC, CHARA or HORTON the green light to fight.

Projected fight card...(I wish KALETA was playing)

MCDERMID-MCCORMICK
THORNTON-SCOTT
CAMPBELL-OTT
MCQUAID-BRENNAN

Then they play hockey.

As long as were winning, I wouldn't mind Lucic taking Scott. Not like Scott will fight Thornton anyways...

I understand Buffalo wanting to grow a spine. But gooning it up will be like fighting fire with gasoline. No way this Boston team will be intimidated into passivity.

Chara v Scott. Z likes to send a message to the league early in the year. Shelly, Laraque, Rupp, Koci i think were all before the 1/2 way mark.

I'm thinking that as well. I could see him in the room speaking up and saying let me take on Scott, get it out of the way and you guys play hockey. I hope Thornton takes him on, get it out of the way and let the game take on whatever identity..

Would LOVE Lucic to pound on Markus Foligno though... Seems like a smug *****.

Kaleta injured one less annoyance to deal with. I could see Lucic going with Scott. He seems to be on a mission this year with his overall play. I don't want him OR Chara to waste their time but if they have to they have to.

I feel that this game will be the first game that players try and take liberties with Hamilton especially with that POS Ott on the ice.

Ott has been pretty quiet... I've been watching most of the Sabres games on DVR (don't want to miss any fights LOL) and he's played good, not too chippy.

Kaleta was running crazy though, and I don't like Foligno.

I have to wonder about Scott though... He should have sought out a rematch fight vs Orr last night and they were on the ice together most times, and nothing. A real heavyweight looks to even the score.

As far as enforcers, guys like Stafford and Weber and sticking up for teammates which is great to see.

Me neither.

I'm also getting concerned about Looch going too often.

This is going to get ugly IMHO
I agree . And not just normal ugly , real ugly , like montreal canadien jersey ugly . Yes that ugly

It has the make up right now of a perfect storm . sabres With a burr up their arse and the going through the motions at time Bruins who are barely winning ; but winning nonetheless .

The Herd has beefed up somewhat over the waning months and they won't take to kindly getting run over the cliff to head smashed in buffalo cliff once again .

Yup , should be ugly .

Heads up Bruins .

Well with Kaleta out, it shouldn't be too bad. The Sabres cannot come close to matching up with the Bruins in an arms race.. Ott will try to **** stir... Maybe draw some penalties...but will be called alot too...

Money is on Ott-Campbell. Ott used his wrist guard to break Soupy's nose before punches were thrown in 2010. No doubt Soupy's looking for a re-match.

Looking forward to this one for sure.

I don't want Horton to fight anyone though. Just too risky, IMO. He's playing good hockey right now, no need for any setbacks.

I too would like to see MacDermid dressed for this one.

He should be in for Bourque anyway... Move Paille up and put MacDermid in his place. The Bourque experiment has failed, and the 3rd line is failing. We need to try something new.

Bourque has no future here while MacDermid will likely be a great 4th liner for years to come. Give him some experience. He's only 23 and he more than held his own against Rupp, one of the better fighters in the league.
