Every time I see out-of-town scores I'm dropping F-bombs yelling at the TV against other rival teams....but realize over and over, there is just NO help from any other team this season with all intra-conference games.

Too many points in the standings to go around every single night. We have to take care of our own business, and can't count on anyone else.

Oduya +8 on a stacked team? No surprise. He's a good defenseman

Average on a stacked team. He was 4-5th on the Jets last year, iirc. Give the Blackhawks Clitsome and they'd make him look good. Moving Oduya was the right thing to do.

I'm not saying moving him was the wrong move but he is a good D-Man. Blackhawks as a whole are +9, Oduya being +8 is impressive.

But I don't think we would have been able to retain him, and with Bogosian's return he'd be a pretty pricey #5... too bad his contract didn't end this year and we trade him instead when Bogosian returned...

That said... we shouldn't place too much on +/- on Oduya, for example was more minus with his TOI with Bogosian than Stuart was.

He's also plays with Hjalmarsson, who is a very very good tough minute Dman.

I agree. I also like the return we got for him. Just wish he was here to push Stuart down to the bottom pair with Postma.

The PK Subban story here is pretty interesting, and perhaps telling. But i'll say this, I don't like for a second how those Montreal players handled it. If our Jets players did that in the media, I would be pretty pissed. You keep that stuff in the room, behind closed doors, in team meetings, etc. Don't air your or the teams dirty laundry in front of the camera.

The drama never ends in Montreal.

Canes placed 2008 14th overall pick Zach Boychuk on waivers today. Just never worked out or found his game in Carolina.

I'll be very surprised if nobody claims him. Islanders, Flames, etc. Somebody takes a flyer on this kid, I would think.

They didnt look mad at Subban... They looked pissed to be answering those kinds of questions on gameday. Its Montreal the media is just to much sometimes

Habs unfortunately started Price against us, not Budaj. We lost on the scheduling.

In other news, sure sounds like the latest sales deadline in Phoenix will pass without a sale.

Could they finally, really, maybe be possibly moving?!

PS - if so, I want the banners.

I can't believe anyone actually thought someone would buy that team with the proviso that they had to keep it in Phoenix. It would take a Glendale philanthropist with extremely deep pockets to make that commitment.

We just don't match up with the Habs well. Some of our poorest efforts last year was because of it.

Kind of like how we have the Bruins number (somewhat).

Le brun tweeted that they (the nhl) are still going to look for an owner, if this jamison deal dies.
So i replied, its been 4 years and they have no owner, why would that change tomorrow.

If the NHL keeps extorting $25 million a year from virtually-bankrupt Glendale country, why not keep the party going?

Those people elected their leaders, and now they will suffer when they can't pay for their police, fire or water service...all to support an NHL team no one goes to watch.

Ok, I promised not to comment on PHX because it makes me so

/rant.

Yes what I meant re: scheduling. That was an unfinished thought!

It's ridiculous. If they couldn't get it done with that dog and pony show city council in Glendale basically writing them a blank cheque, there is no way it gets done with this new council who will be trying to stop the bleeding.

It is all optics right now. Glendale, a TOWN of 250,000 spent a thousand dollars for every man woman and child building a rink for the Coyotes and maybe double that when all is said and done trying to keep the team there. The NHL just can't pack up in the middle of the night, they won't get another US city to build them a new rink ever again.

They are at the point though where the team is pretty much guaranteed in another market come September.

The new leaders want nothing of the sort.
They will not he funding anything else by the sounds of it.
