That is what I am thinking and we did talk about this before with mixed results.

I'm not really sure. First, GB said one investor could not own too much? That sounds like a load of ****. Then it was said GJ didn't have "enough" money. On top of that, we are now told GJ has ZERO money.

Take your pick.

It would be an interesting twist. The other rumor is build a stadium by the Dbacks spring training stadium but I will take your advice a drink.

There is plenty of blame to go around for why we are at this point. Of course I blame Judge Balm for not upholding the origional lease as he should of, just like how the Pens and the Islanders lease were both held up.

ZING! You are on FIRE PSG! You come out of nowhere with two EXCELLENT call backs to rustic auburn sunset and the only closer more valuable to the Yankees than Mariano Rivera.

Too much stress to take on over something i have absolutely no control over. Really interested to see the announcement Jamison makes. "Uh hey guys, i couldn't do it. My bad. Good luck."
Maybe he`ll announce it early Thursday and say I`m glad to have helped out and have brought you all to the goal line. You still have until midnight to find another owner.

And now I am certain that while I don't mind watching the games from time to time, it's not something I care to devote my time or emotions too.

I like playing more than I like watching. And I enjoy watching at the smaller venues from time to time - it is a treat rather than a chore. If the ownership had been stable, it would be rather enjoyable. But always thinking that they are leaving does not make it enjoyable.
Playing is so much funner then watching. Just remember, the NHL is only an entertainment business, it has no ownership over hockey, look to other amateur organizations like USA Hockey to find people who truly care more.

4) This is a board for Coyotes fans. If what you've come here to post will just rile people up without adding much or anything to the conversation, your post will likely be deleted and you could find yourself with a threadban or an infraction. If you'd like to discuss this topic through a different lens, try the Business of Hockey board.

True. I'm thankful to the NHL for giving me the nudge to start playing. I had never attended a game before last October and now I'm playing 4 times a week. I'm having fun and moving my butt and getting in shape. I've met a bunch of great people who have become both teammates and friends.

Back when the season ended in may I was sad at the thought that hockey was "over." then the lockout came along and I found other ways to watch. And I played a lot. When the season finally started, I was actually a bit disappointed because going to watch a game means missing a chance to play a game. That's when I realized that while the NHL is nice, it's not the only game in town. Far from it.

Any buzz the team had after the deep playoff run has dissipated. It was squandered.

And I've realized that not only will I not be surprised to see tomorrow come and go without a completed sale, I also won't care. Life will go on and I'll have a bit of extra money and time available.

Come the deadline, there will be all sorts of nonsense flying. I just hope this remains a safe haven for Coyote fans until the end. No tolerance for trolls.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Two league sources have told FOX Sports Arizona that it is unlikely prospective Coyotes owner Greg Jamison will be able to assemble the money and investors in time to meet a Jan. 31 deadline to purchase the club. If that deadline passes, Jamisonís bid to end the team could be over.

If that happens, the league could open the bidding process again to other potential suitors. ESPN reported that a separate, unnamed group of investors is prepared to step in if Jamison is unable to close the deal by Thursday.

This is great though, the end looks to be near. I won't be buying those tickets for Saturday and will spend that money elsewhere.

It's good to know that then end is near

I blame Jerry Colangelo for not making AWA rink-friendly.

Man, this is terrible. Is there a fan dispertion draft now?

A valiant effort, Yotes' fans. Looks like GJ isn't the one, but kudos for heart and support from the core fan base.

No, but it might be the last minute of regulation. I'm sure it will go to overtime anyway, but someone needs to score soon!

While some sources and officials familiar with the Coyotes deal say the money is there, others say Jamison has two-thirds of the needed cash. Others insist it is far less than that.

ESPN reported today Jamison needs a last-minute infusion to get the deal done. Another local executive involved with pro sports machinations is more blunt.

“He’s not close,” said the executive, who asked not to be identified. Still, that executive did not rule out a last-second sale.
Quote:
If the time runs out on Jamison, that could then open the Coyotes ownership up to new bidders.

There could be groups that step forward to keep the team Glendale, or long-term in the Phoenix market at a new arena in downtown Phoenix or perhaps in Scottsdale on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land.

The Salt River tribe built a new spring training ballpark for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies via money from its casinos. Could they do the same for the Coyotes?

US Airways Center in Phoenix is 20 years and old will likely soon need a remodeled or replaced. Could there be a new arena in the works long-term in downtown Phoenix?
