Imagine him on Giroux's line with Hartnell lol. That'd be something. We play an obvious aggressive system that fits him perfect too, not willing to give up much though as this is a pipe dream.

Nope won't happen. I'd say Kessel and Ovie have similar values. That contract is pretty scary

We can make things simpler than economics. OVie and Crosby hate each other. They wouldn't be able to co-exist. Malkin would have to be the peacemaker. Good luck with that. Makes no sense for Pittsburgh for many reasons.

For an Ovechkin who actually gives a @$% again, the Canucks would value him at

Kesler , Edler Kassian = Ovechkin.

Ryan + Sbisa + prospect + 1st/2nd (depending on which prospect).

Ducks have capspace (internal budget fixed by all the extra $ Ducks will earn from merchandise sale), gives Getzlaf/Perry reason to re-sign, brings more people to the stands (see: W Greztky to kings), plays a system which he has had the greatest success in his career with.

Not to mention, do you really see a team having 3 players making about 27 million on a cap that is about to drop (assuming Washington didnt retain a huge chumk of his cap) ? Negatory.
what?

It's more than giving a ___. He just gets the puck, and barrels as fast as he can down the ice. He doesn't use his teammates at all.

Ovechkin is not going to get 60 goal OV value.

He's worth a lot, but his contract, much like the Jagr deal before him is going to hurt the Capitals.

the problem is that his contract is for a 90+ point guy, he's not producing those numbers now and hasn't for two plus seasons.

part of that was the shift to a more defensive posture taken by the former coach, and while it's still early this season, he's on pace for 16 points.

Wonder what is going on inside his noggin.

Where the hell did you get that from?

If anything you got it backwards.

You had me at Edler, Kassian

where do I sign?

In all seriousness, doesn't the new CBA allow teams to retain salary? I'd spring for that if there was a decent return. If not, wait and see if he gets his head out of his ass and starts winning, or possibly buy him out after next season if Forsberg looks good.

Ovechkin is the last player to ever to be traded. It would never happen.

His value? Considering his drop in production and mammoth contract I don't think there would be a whole lot of interest. Maybe Florida would have interest.

Franzen + Nyquist for Ovi.

The Wings would ice a top 6 of:

Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi
Filppula-Zetterberg-Brunner

😏

You're right, I was being sarcastic. That's the base of the reported offer Holland made for Nash though. I'm sure we would have to sweeten the pot some though.

I'd give up Phil Kessel and Dion Phaneuf.

Alex Ovechkin - Mikhail Grabovski - Nikolai Kulemin
James van Riemsdyk - Nazem Kadri - Joffrey Lupul
Matt Frattin - Tyler Bozak - Ryane Clowe (signed)
Mike Brown - Jay McClement - Leo Komarov

Jake Gardiner - Carl Gunnarsson
Morgan Rielly - John-Micheal Liles
Cody Franson - Mike Komisarek

James Reimer

Popping Clowe in their haha. I like it.
I'd want them to add a Dman like Orlov.

We can add a pick/prospect
