I'm going to take a lot of steam for this, but Lindy was right about the Kaleta hit.

I'm sick and tired of players looking and KNOWING the hit is imminent, then turning their backs and then crying for a boarding call. I hate when other teams' players do it and that is exactly what Kaleta did. You see him look right at Brown and then turn. I don't know what the heck some of these players are thinking, or if they're purposely trying to draw call (how stupid if so), but it's more obvious in this example than any.

Didn't someone from our board start it by incensing their GDT with a racist troll? There's nothing classy about that either. Plus, don't act like our board wouldn't have had posts celebrating the karma of injuries to a guy like Kaleta if given the chance (ie. Hartnell, Lucic, Neil and so on).

Had 2 dreams of the Sabres Bruins game.

Either gonna be 2-1 Sabres or 6-3 Bruins.

Take your pick

You shouldn't. I feel the same way and have been saying the same. Kaleta does this all the time and will have a shortened career because of it.

Bruins Season Ticket Holders get to pick up their Autographed Sticks tonight. Each STH was given an autographed stick for agreeing to purchase season tix this season while paying for their playoff seats last year.

Must be nice.

Only thing saving us tonight is a possible pissed off Miller.

Lord help us.

To the good denizens of the Sabres board, please remember to not respond to troll posts and attempt to refrain from posting in the opponents' GDT as it typically leads to Bad Things.

I predict a Boston win, 4-1.

Cheer up guys, hockey is back. FWIW the Bruins looked really sluggish on Tuesday night against the Devils, and half the team has looked rather out of synch for the majority of play thus far. I think it will get ugly quick, then settle down by the end of the 1st period. I've never been one to predict scores.

The physicality of this game could wake this team up, but in all likelihood the mental midgets will show up.

I predict a Buffalo win and a swift reversal in sentiment as fans ditch the negativity for the night as playoff hopes are rekindled.

And yes, I'm working on less than 3 hours of sleep today.

This game should on paper go badly, but I'm going to go the other way and say the Sabres come out on top.

Miller usually has a good bounce-back performance after a poor game (and he was pretty poor against Toronto). And if there's any game on the schedule that this team is going to get up for, this is it. Boston is the whole reason this team turned its focus to better team toughness and not getting pushed around. Boston is the whole reason we get Ott and Scott. And the Sabres know it.

I'm not saying they're going to something stupid or childish like "seeking retribution" on anybody in particular. But I think they are going to want to make a statement that that they are a better team and a tougher team than last year. And this is the game to make that statement in.

You said as much at the game the other night. Still a d'bag move from Brown to not pull up on the hit and no amount of cromagnon claims of retribution for Kessel getting a rub-down after running Miller will change my mind on that.

Bruins win 6-1, tomorrow morning on WGR Big Daddy Ted reminds us that we as fans have to be "patient".

Watched the Bruins - Hurricanes game the other night. Bruins came out flying taking a 2-0 lead. The Hurricanes came back and tied it at 3-3 in the 2nd.

If the Bruins come out flying again tonight and go ahead 2-0, I fully expect a 7, 8, maybe 9 - 1 score at the end. We'll just fold.

That's the thing that has bothered me most about this team over the last few years.

It's not the lack of physical toughness. Lots of teams have been successful without being overly physical. Look at Detroit for many years. You don't need to pound the crap out of guys and win fights every night to have a winning hockey club.

It's the lack of mental toughness that bothers me. I want a team that doesn't fold in the face of adversity. I want a team that works hard for three periods regardless of what the score is. I want a team that doesn't wallow in self-pity.

Wait, you got a Seguin autographed stick AND referenced on Puck Daddy in the same week? I think you need to pick up some Powerball tickets, you're on a roll!

For obvious reasons Boston is one of the only teams I dread us playing against. They're like a different beast it seems. I hope we don't get embarrassed, slapped around, used or abused. I'm not confident at all.

I think this is a close one. Likely a Bruins victory, but I'm going to say something like 4-3 or 3-2.

EDIT: holy cow you guys are negative IMO this forum is far too reactionary

Someone actually posted a thread on the main board a few days ago asking if the Sabres were the worst team of all time LOL. I mean think about that for a minute.

I don't know about the racist troll. First I've heard of that. If that's true, the posters an idiot and should be banned from the leafs forum. There would probably be posts celebrating an injured Hartnell etc .... But I would think it would of stayed on THIS teams forum. And if it migrated to the other teams forum from a Sabres poster ... Well, then that posters an idiot and should be banned from that teams forum.
