Well if we ended up in a division with the Jets, played them 6 times a year and then played them in the playoffs, it wouldn't take too long for us to start hating Buff and Ladd which would be hard to do at first but of course we'd have to.

As for Jets ,, Winnipeg means nothing to me as well. The first time they had Jets they didnt mean anything to me and they certainly are not a rival
I do not understand this logic that much.

as a Jets fan I look forward to a rivalry with the Hawks.

The Jets have former Hawks Byfuglien and Ladd, the Hawks have Toews. Might be hard for both teams' fans to hate the opposing team.

I still hate the North Stars, The Wild get a reprieve for beating Dallas and letting us back into the playoffs two years ago

I think if we are all in the same division and play a lot a rivalry will develop. It will take a player from one team to act like a tool once for the hating to start. For Vancouver it just took a large majority of the team to be douches so it happened quicker . But there will be new rivalries once the realignment takes place. And I live in the Twin Cities so I will get to see the Hawks one more time a year!

I'd love to see Minnesota and Winnipeg join the division, a la the previously proposed realignment, but they'll never overtake the Wings and the Blues as our top divisional rivals.

Good luck to Duncan Keith on Feb 1st. Remember Daniel Sedin? That's the only reason this rivalry continues.

Why good luck? He'll be ready and isn't a coward that will run away or turtles when a Sedin goes after him. Too bad Daniel won't go after him and a stupid guy like Bieksa or Kassian will do.

Will definitely be a good game to have Bollig and Brookbank in the lineup.

Dishing out cheapshots isn't cowardly? Anyway I don't want to get into that discussion but Kassian isn't stupid, however, Bieksa is. Watch some of Kassian's interviews. He's actually a pretty smart guy that trains and works hard. His on ice demeanor is simply to intimidate.
