Hey guys. New too HUT and got myself into a situation early.
I have a Phil Kessel card I just put up for auction, and two trade offers came him early. One is a Tomáš Fleischmann NYI Card 87 overall (It's golden for some reason... special type of rare? again I'm new..) and 5000 EA Pucks.
Also, I was offered a +5 ALL and 15k Pucks.
Which is a better deal? Should I allow him to sell through the auction?

all i can help with is dont take the +5all and 15k, the +5all is worthless, so you are essantially selling kessel for 15k. The reason the Fleischmann card is gold is because its a rare card. EA realses a new set of cards that are gold (Team Of The Week) the players that are choosen are the ones doing good in real life. The players choosen become better than their regular player card. Im not sure how much it goes for so you could either check or maybe wait and someone else can help you out.
I sold my crosby for 350k and picked up a sotw benn and sotw duchene. Heres my new lineup.

edit: WOW. picked up a SOTW Anisimov to replace SOTW Elias and the difference has been amazing with just that tiny change. 8 goals in the first period of my first game with the set up... It was in the rookie tourney to get my goalie out of being tired, but an amazing change in production nonetheless. any suggestions to pair with kelser and kessel on first line?
I would say rock a PLY on the wing. Don't know your price range... so on the lower end I would say Couture/E.Staal (changed to wing of course, Couture on my LW works well). Higher ends obvs Zetterberg/Parise/SOTW players.

i got off to a rough start getting shut out three games in a row after trading for sotw vanek. since then though i have done pretty well with this lineup. moving marleau to the second line with malkin (replacing hall) has really done a lot and given me two dynamic offensive lines. hall doesn't get much done for me.
sotw vanek is a beast though. i didn't expect too terribly much from him but him and sotw pommer are usually my best players every game. they both have nasty shots and vanek is very tough to knock off the puck down low and i seem to have great luck pickpocketing people with him with the poke check.
i also have the following players in my trade pile:

I'm not entirely familiar with xbox prices, but I am with Ps3 prices.
Don't take either. The 15k deal is better, but neither are worth Kessel.

What did you trade for Vanek? I might get them before Chel 14
umm h. sedin, horton, j johnson and some pucks. 10 or 15k. spares and I had no interest in using h. sedin (too slow) and hadn't been able to sell him so I offered him and to my surprise the guy took my offer. that first line is a lot of fun to play with.
I been getting a lot better at wrist shots and back hands, so I decided to move selanne from the 4th line to the 2nd line, name him as my captain, and put a +5all Skate with a 15 game duration on him.
Could anyone help out an older gamer(xbox) here with a problem? I accidentally applied a rd to ld for Dan Girardi whos my best dman(and my A capt) and i need to switch him back(thought i was doing a contract). The cards for that are insanely high and it takes me forever just to get enough for one medium player. Ive had no luck at all in buying packs. If anyone has a ld to rd so i could switch him back maybe i could give you a player. I dont have much to offer though.
Finally had my first big score last night, felt good! Bought a Paul Stastny BIN 3500 and sold for 9500. I was able to land a Pronger for 1400 last night so I think I can make a little on that also. Really enjoying searching the market for deals but boy are they hard to find or maybe I don't know all the secrets yet!
Just to add to my post above, I can offer an unused Seabrook for that LD to RD if anyone has one.

it might be a little harder, but you could try putting your card up for a 1 or 2k more than you think you could get one back at and just rebuy the assistant for it. might be cheaper in the end

I thought about that but I didn't wanna lose his stats. I buy all my players with no games played so the stats are all neat and tidy. I'm weird like that

oh got it. youre best bet would probably be to look over the market every chance you get for a card that is really cheap or atleast cheap enough.
