I am typically an optimist, but given the way the Sabres are playing right now and the way the Bruins are playing right now the trajectory and inertia look like a pending train wreck.

Certainly plays a big part IMO.

Take the exact same play and make it Kaleta boarding Crosby and predict the outcome.

Sabres are getting their ***** handed to them tonight.

For Christ's sake, please stand up for your teammate's if they get rolled. Including your goalie.

You have a keen sense 'CS' .Yes its a lot of fun when the hockey season is rolling. You know when these two teams play each its going be fun to watch. I for one enjoy all rivalries , especially teams up your way. One thing that's on my bucket list is to take a hockey road trip and go to at much hockey games I can attend in a 2 or 3 week period, starting in B-Town and head to Buffalo , Montreal , etc. My Mother was born up your way, Sciota. NY. and want to visit the region. Drop a line CS if you ever need some of the best seats in TD . Good luck tonight and hope to see you guys in the playoffs

I really hope McCormick is ready. I do not want to see Gerbe in the lineup tonight or really ever again. I'd waive him if I were Darcy and sign anyone else or promote a guy up like Flynn or Tarnasky.

This is either a turning point game or a game that sends the team on a downward spiral.

I got tickets for this one. The wife and I will be heading to Boston in our Kaleta and Foligno jerseys. Unfortunately, the last game I went to, Miller got plowed by Lucic, but the Sabres have won every other Boston game we have gone to.
Sabres 4-3 in OT and 3 total fights.

EDIT: holy cow you guys are negative IMO this forum is far too reactionary

Someone actually posted a thread on the main board a few days ago asking if the Sabres were the worst team of all time LOL. I mean think about that for a minute.
I made it, and it was mostly sarcasm cause our team has been awful. I thought it would be funny.

I'd be happy with a decently played game all around.

No cheap shots, no goonery. Just play a damn hockey game.

Sounds good! I've wanted to get out your way for some time for a hockey road trip -- thinking Bean Pot and a B's game, maybe shoot up to Portland too. Alas, I doubt it will be this season.

Exactly what I expect, with all the new "grit" they're still going to look bored and disinterested and lose by at least 3.

Paille will move up to the 3rd line and Paul MacDermid will be playing on the 4th. Bourque is out.

Not familiar with MacDermid. Is he there to chuck punches, not that the B's need extras.

Yeah MacDermid is a fighter much like his father. More of a middleweight, but he'll drop with anyone.

Won't debate the matter of keeping Gerbe or not, but waive him? Do you honestly think they can't get a pick for him?

Speaking of fisticuffs, I'm hearing some rumblings about Tarnasky getting the callup. Anyone have confirmation?

Ugh. Lindy will start the Vanek line.

If he had the gonads he'd start the Ellis line.

Please be true. Scott - Ellis - Gerbe line is pathetic.

Actually it's not true (at this point), Tarnasky was at Amerks practice this morning.

If Lindy is preoccupied with "retribution" or starting a brawl, then the game is already lost.

We played Boston several times last season after the Lucic incident. The time for retribution was then. We didn't take it. Whatever. Now it's a new season. Focus on winning the game, not on payback.

Lane MacDermid makes season debut for the Bruins. In for Bourque.
