47 career fights. None since 1995, though. Interesting how they had to dig so deeply to find a tough guy, the dude's 49 years old.

edit: it might be his son, Lane?

I agree the retribution was then. However, there needs to be some sort of fire in this team. Not just the same ole dilly dally we've seen the past 4 games.

IIRC, after the Boston game in Buffalo the week after the Lucic/Miller incident, most of the contests were relatively tame. I expect the same tonight, honestly. Nobody's going to engage Scott. Chara and Lucic and Thornton will probably each laugh at him, tell him he's an obsolete hack and wait for a different opponent, if any.

I think we'll play a decent game. Fear of embarrassment is often a great motivator. Bruins win it in the skills competition, 3-2.

Vanek
Foligno

Krejci
Bergeron

Yes, it's Lane. Edwards accicentally tweeted Paul. Some Bruins fans didn't know the difference apparently.

Any chance Lindy would start Scott?

Are Brennan and Weber still in for Sulzer and RR?

I'd be willing to bet Weber's still in there seeing as Regehr's likely still banged up. No word on TJB but if he's not in the press box (where he belongs) then it better not be Sulzer again.

He will definitely play, he's been in all 6 games so far and we lost Kaleta. He's pretty much got a spot in the lineup for now as long as Leino, Kaleta and McCormick are injured.

Nah. The 6-0 game was heated, and for a meaningless game, Thornton jumping Regehr was pretty significant.

Considering how many not-even-heavyweight Sabres Thornton has fought over the past two seasons, he shouldn't have that same ability. Especially after he takes the inevitable swipe at Vanek.

Must be nice.

Only thing saving us tonight is a possible pissed off Miller.

Lord help us.
Actually the B's STH pick up their sticks Sat. It's OK except for there is no game Sat and I live in NH.

Hope for a good game tonight.

Good Luck for the rest of the games (but not tonight of course).

re: John Scott

I'm not sure that is Lindy's MO. Leave that to the Penguins, Islanders, Devils....

John Scott should be able to beat MacDermid down to a pulp, he's got 65 lbs on him, 5 more inches, and is 7 years older.

Actually we don't. We pick them up Saturday between 10-6.

As stated earlier by others, John Scott should be able to fight Thorton. Forget the minor leaguer.

It's Lane. Father Paul played for the Whalers in the 80's.
