Well, he was a free agent. The Esks gave up a 2nd rounder to sign him two weeks before free agency.
He's an unproven QB in the CFL, but like others have said, he will push Matt Nichols and create competition for the starters job.
On another note, John MacKinnon of the Journal is saying that the Esks will not bring Joseph back either. Another good move.

I have my doubts about Reilly as well. The Eskimos gave him free reign all over the field in that game he started against the Esks. I wasn't impressed and he came back down to earth the very next week.

Well he understands Eskimos and Edmonton sports fans extremely well then. Its not inaccurate.
Case in point people would hate to have Kevin Glenn here but a lot of people mad he ended up in Calgary.
Go figure.
I like Reilly, wouldn't be prepared to hitch the cart to him and we need more not less options. Its a good start.

And down goes Naylor's credibility even more. Just read an interview with Hervey and he says the starters job was NOT given or guaranteed to Reilly. He will compete for it.
