Why are they sending PRV down when he finally started driving the net and keeping Hordichuk who does nothing but sit in the PB? This is embarrassing.

Why the hell is Potter in and Fistric out?

Why the hell am I an Oiler fan?

Makes more sense than whatever was going on in my head.

Yeah... we gotta deal with the 8th d-man. Either waive Peckham or Potter.
Should stick J. Schultz at F and keep Hordichuk benched.

So basically if petrell can go we can go either 7D or 6D and hordichuk. If petrell can't go its hordichuk and 7D.

If they send Hordi down, they wouldn't have been able to recall Lander until tomorrow because Hordichuk has to clear waivers before going down. So his spot wouldn't be gone from the roster until noon tomorrow. Magnus was the only person we could have sent down to get Lander up.

Considering current developments it might be best for them to start Khabby. This was going to be a tough one to win anyway; burning out DD in the process is probably not worth it.

I second this. This game is going to be hard enough to win anyway. Who knows though maybe Khabi can pull out a stellar performance and we cans squeak a point or two.

The one good thing about an 8:30 start is that I will be able to make it home to catch the game after basketball. But before I go I have one thing I must do.

I dont think we will miss 10 or 91 tonight, and if Dubby plays like the last 2 games we will get the W. Up to u Dubby! His save % is now looking like a starting goalie that is above 500, and he is, coincedence? Nope.

Only seven defencemen were scored on more often than Potter at even strength last season.

Potter is already eighteenth worst in the league this season.

That doesn't even count the goals Potter is responsible for while we are shorthanded or the goals against he causes by taking ridiculous penalties.

Fistric wasn't on the ice for a goal against in the two games he played.

I'm with everyone else in the Potter-Fistric dilemma. We have to remember every coach has his favourites. There have been some terrible players getting gravy ice time over the years on this team. MacT had his Toby Petersen and it looks like Krueger has Potter who for some inexplicable reason was out there when we were 4on6 yesterday. Who was Renney's guy? MAP?

So you want tot tell the team "hey guys we got destroyed last time we played them so we will put in our backup because they will win anyways'?

Put in Dubnyk, he'll have great motivation to put together a great start. You dress your backup in against weaker competition. Just surrendering against good teams is a terrible way to get better.

In what world do you not miss your best defensive center and arguably your best defensive winger when facing the hottest offensive team in the league.

Tonight's the type of game where the old Oilers would probably lose and lose big. But I'm predicting a big win for the new and improved Oilers tonight.

Yaks with another goal tonight to keep his streak going.

Not gonna be hard for the team to be motivated tonight after San Jose blew them out last time.

If they can't get motivated against Calgary, they aren't going to get motivated against San Jose.

Ya sure, do it the other way around tho. Play backup against teams where the odds are you are going to win, instead of odds are we are going to lose. If the team wants to be great, you gotta start believing you can play against any team in the league.

Didn't you ever notice how every team would start their backup against us the last couple years? Not against detroit tho because they wanted to try and win. They did against us because they knew they would beat us.

Really? You don't think they'll be motivated against a team that scored 6 goals on them in one period last game?

I don't. Like I said, we couldn't even get motivated against our biggest rival last weekend. Our team also looked flat for the first 40 minutes in our season opener and played downright horrible in the first period of our home opener.

If they can't get motivated in those situations, they aren't going to be motivated tonight.

Hate to say it Fistric and Hordichuk should be in tonight, especially with injuries. But team like Sharks need to be on their toes in our zone and who's going into theirs.

If we can match top line scoring we have a chance
Which is easier said then done.... especially with Horcoff out.

Oil lose a player or two and the Sharks get back Dan Boyle and Jason Demers
