Mike Milbury: General Manager or Hockey Analyst?

What is Mike Milbury worse at? He was a terrible general manager and he's a terrible hockey analyst. I'm voting for him being a worse general manager since I can think of other analysts that are in the same category as Milbury but I can't really think of another general manager that was as bad as he was

I don't hate him as an analyst. At least he doesn't scream bloody murder at every big hit and can read plays pretty well.

He must have naked pictures of someone important. How else would he have a job in hockey

If I were Roenick or the other guy I'd just say "yeah...well...shoe?" every time he says something about a player doing something stupid.

It has to involve Wang.
Milbury lasted forever while apparently trying to destroy the Isle organization.

As a player, Milbury beat a fan with his own shoe.

As a coach, Milbury insisted on having an enforcer named Bruce Shoebottom around.

Not going anywhere with that, just sayin'.

He's equally bad at both, but he's a lot more harmless as a analyst.

Still voted both equally as bad.

I wish there had been a ******** category. I'd just like to know in what alternate universe people think he's wise in the ways of hockey.

I'm getting pretty sick of talking heads. They'll say anything and never get called on it when they're wrong. On the rare occasion they get something right, they crow about it for weeks.

This might be the best poll I've ever seen on HF. Very tough choice. Eventually went with terrible at both.

Oh come on you realize at this point his TV commentary is a schtick right? You've gotta vote GM to me. Now he claims the crazy ownership was pulling the strings and I think that's true in large part, but not completely true by a long shot.

I thought Milbury did a great job as a GM for the teams he traded with.

If Milbury was as bad an analyst as he was a GM, he would've figured out a way to get every show he's ever appeared on cancelled.

Came close...

Quote:
Milbury predictably ruffled feathers when, in a segment on 94WIP, he ripped Crosby for his role in instigating Sunday's brawl, joked about Crosby's ongoing issues with concussions and said Bylsma should have "taken off his skirt" when Flyers coach Peter Laviolette and Penguins assistant Tony Granato were yelling at each other.
All true but insensitive

Quote:
"I reached out to (team president) David Morehouse and the Penguins about the comments I made yesterday on Philadelphia radio. In hindsight, I realize what I said was inappropriate and wrong, and I want to apologize to the Penguins organization and their fans," Milbury said in a statement released by NBC.

There is no debate, he's so reviled by Isles fans for what he did to this franchise.

As a GM Milbury turned Bertuzzi, McCabe, Chara, Spezza, Luongo and Jokinen into Linden, Yashin, Kvasha and Parrish, so you know he has to be a God awful analyst for me to take option 3.
