We need better GDT's, the people on the sharks board are putting us to shame.

Exactly. But it's moot anyways, Kipper is starting every game anyways.

When our team does what their team is doing then they will get the same type of GDT's

Kipper gives the Flames a better chance to win than Irving. Especially when he has been rested for four days and coming off a win.

Yes but Kipper will always give us a better chance to win, Irving has to play sometime this might be the easiest opponent we face for a long time it would be good to give him the easy ones when Kipper shouldn't be as needed.

He hasn't been bad, rather, I just think a Tanguay-Backlund-Iginla line has the potential to be effective.

yes but then who is our 2nd and 3rd line center? I still don't think Cervenka is ready for center it leaves us weaker in the top 9.

Their GDT's are easily the best. The Avs South Park one is amazing

I don't necessarily think Irving has to play sometime. Maybe I'm crazy.

Their GDT's put everyone to shame, and I don't think any Flames fans are skilled enough with photoshop/have time to do it for every game?

I'll volunteer to make one for Saturday's game. It will be awful. But a different kind of awful.

I don't think Landeskog is playing tonight. (read it on the Avs board)

Giguere is the one thing that worries me about this game. He always plays well against us.

Here's to hoping Hartley is able to break the cycle of the Flames playing down to their opponents level.

Flames win and dominate 4-1 (Goals from Iggy, Cammy, Backlund and Cervenka)

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said, not until Cervenka feels comfortable with the pace of the NHL, likely in a couple of weeks. And Stajan would still be the 3rd line centre.

Game preview on the Flames website says yes.

The only games I'd honestly question Kipper starting would be the back to backs.

Irving will have to play sometime but he should exclusively be playing on back-to-backs, not when Kipper has just had four days off.

Back-to-backs are when the value of playing your back-up is highest, because Kipper would have less energy. There is no added value to playing Irving tonight, because Kipper is rested and points against the Avalanche count for the same as points against any other team, even if they are having a tough go lately.

Resting Kipper tonight for the sake of getting his GP down is useless, because he's not tired. That rest he gets now is not transferable to when he needs it more later. When you start Irving tonight all you do is lower our chances to win without saving Kipper energy now or in the long run.
