What's really amazing is that Bob can say crap like that on his show and then moments later concede that if it wasn't for Potter the Oilers win last night in regulation and DD gets a shutout. Potter almost cost the Oilers the game (on more than occasion to boot) and cost DD a shutout but we're being whiners for complaining that Fistric needs to play instead.

The team would be monumentually stupid not to give him a chance to get his game together, his value to the team(either on the ice or in a trade) is important to the franchise.

You don't just toss him into the trash heap after 5 games in a lockout year with no training camps for a guy signed to provide depth for an AHL farm team.

Woops accidentally voted for Potter, The guy sucks. I hated when we signed him for a 2 yr contract last year...We are stuck with him for 1 more season since RK likes him , The guy doesn't bring anything that we don't already have on the roster.

I hope you don't mind but I moved your vote to Fistric. I want to see who legitimately thinks Potter should be starting. Then we'll know Krueger's HF username

Krueger is one of those positive energy coaches.

Maybe he has an issue with Fistric?

Because any time he has been allowed to play, he has been solid where as Potter has been a hot mess.

This is like Renney and Barker all over again.

He doesn't have any mobility or strength on the one leg! That much is obvious! He can't even pivot on it and he has literally lost every foot race I've seen him get in this year.

I don't think they owe him anything. If he plays like crap, he doesn't play. If he plays well, sure keep him in there.

But it's not like playing him more often is going to magically fix the biggest problem with his game, his injured leg. The team is in the business of winning games, not wishing upon shooting stars. Whitney will never be the player he once was, but he can be a useful #5/6. If he plays well, you play him. If he doesn't, you don't. Pretty simple.

Love how Mark Fistric throws his weight around, but all around I think Peckham is a better D. If Peckham comes back to form there wouldn't be any question.

Supposedly he's healthy and pain free, so your assessment that it's a permanent problem that is impossible to fix or adapt to is a bit premature, and one that the organization clearly isn't following.

He admitted as much that his 100% is a different 100% than he's used to. That says to me that he knows he'll never be a top-4 guy again.

Well Krueger HFOil has spoken, get Potter out of the lineup and get Fistric into the lineup soon…or else!

He is terrible. I would prefer Fistric or Tuebert.
As a 6th D-man he is bad, but what in the F-bomb was he doing on the PK with less than a minute left and a 1-0 lead last night?

Peckham should not be played over Fistric, maybe over Potter, but not over Fistric. Hopefully Krueger is not another one of these favorites coaches.

Because EVERY single season the Oilers' coach must do something which confuses and frustrates the hell out of us.

Someone actually voted for Potter?

I guess Krueger must be a member.

Fistric - 6D
Potter - 7D
Peckham - Treadmill until he shows commitment to staying in shape.

This game against the Sharks truely shows where the worst of the bottom pairing is comming from.

Whitney was border line terrible through a lot of that game. The worst player on the ice and seriously looks like his career is in jeopordy of being over. Bad decisions. Just isnt moving his feet enough. Seems almost scared when he has the puck in his own zone and turtles too often.
