Yeah looking at the roster, the Sharks really have no interest in anyone outside of Skinner. We can probably do Murray+ for LaRose, but you wanted a RHD. I wouldn't trade Braun for LaRose+

I dunno.. I honestly don't know much about him. All I've heard is that he has a good shot, good offensive abilities, but struggles defensively and looks sluggish sometimes. He also doesn't seem to use his big frame a lot. He kinda sounds like a slower McBain.

If that's what you think of him, and I'm not disagreeing, then why did you include him in your original list of players you'd be interested in

Almost all the guys you listed are bottom pairing/#7 offensive minded defensemen who won't help us at all.

Oh, I was just listing guys I thought JR might be interested in. And I'm not saying Carolina shouln't look into Franson, but probably not for a 2nd rounder.

You're spot on to target Braun or Demers, and it would be a classic Cane's trade where you see something in a player to "grow" into the role rather than trade for the player who's already there. Demers is going to be great - Babcock said he was our best Dman when we last played them in the playoffs. Last year was a step back for him, but only because he always had to play with Colin White because we have Burns/Boyle.

Seriously, he should be on the 2nd pairing if it weren't for those two stellar Dmen in front of him.

Braun I feel is like the mean of Demers. See, Demers can play elite, and then can suck with a bone headed play. Braun is pretty much in the middle.
