sabres don't even belong on the same ice as the Bruins. i think they'll take it to the sabres in the in the third, they're so much better then them that they should.

after listening to the MSG sabres broadcast i want to say a lot about how ****** of a city buffalo is, but i won't. but we all know, it is

I'm RAGING at the officials. Holy ****!

The call on Lucic was horrible, Sultzer launched himself, faked injury while looking for the call and then got up just fine when he saw the arm up. The Chara call was even weaker.

The officials handed the Sabres momentum.

The ****ing call on Chara was not even made by the official 3' away, it was made at center ice by the trailing official.

Oh....Vanek just eats us alive. It is getting tiring.

Technical question,

Two players from the same team get two penalties to be served at the same time. Like tonight, Lucic was called and then Chara. How do they decide who gets to come out?

If it was up to the Bruins, they'd want Chara to come out (like he did) to kill off the rest of the penalty. The Sabres on the other hand would want Lucic out of the box leaving Chara in there.

So what is the rule?

There was no need for either of those penalties. It was just stupid hockey. And now it is a tie game because of it.
Exactly this. I understand being pissed that the Sabres scored twice, but neither goal was a weak call. And I'm the last guy to let the refs off the hook. My biggest gripe is them not calling anything consistently. But agreed - both those calls were perfectly valid.

Again, watch the replay. Yes, dumb move by Chara but also a clear embellishment by Vanek. It wasn't a "hold". It was a quick grab. If you want to call that a hold, fine, but why should Vanek get away with embellishing it?

Seriously. Even with a ******** 5-on-3, defense is hanging Rask out to dry. He's been wide open way too much of this game.

I hope Lucic challenges Scott to make a statement to Scott for the Thorton beating. Do you think he is man enough to do this? I know Scott is no Komisarek but don't you think this would be appropriate?

I'm not going to blame lucic for bumping a guy and Sulzer selling it. Holding his head and looking up at the refs.

It was a textbook board. I don't know how anyone can know the boarding rule and not think so.

Why would we put one of our best players in the box for 5 minutes in a tied game just to fight a goon? Maybe if this was a blowout.

Just got in from my daughter's game.

How is the switch of Paille to 3rd and playing McDermid working out?

Who is officiating, I have the feeling from initial comments that there were some bad or at least weak calls?

Yeah, b/c simultaneous minors are so common. They made 2 bad calls for the B's then evened it up on 2 borderline calls. Snap out of it.

Looch also sent Seguin on a breakaway he missed, lets bench him, too.

If we had a PP in the first place, no one is wetting their panties.

This. This. This. This.

I cannot STAND when officials on the other end of the ice make calls like that, when there's a guy standing there.

I personally think Chara was guilty of a hold, but the center ice official has no business calling that.

Man enough? Seriously? Not only would it not be appropriate, but it would ****ing insane for a first line winger to fight Scott in the third period of a tie game where his team is already down a man.

I would guess the first penalty signaled would get out first.

So what is the rule?
When the minor penalties of two players of the same team terminate at the same time, the Captain of that team shall designate to the Referee which of such players will return to the ice first and the Referee will instruct the Penalty Timekeeper accordingly.
