Haha Thornton "lost his balance"? It's called getting knocked the fu*k down.

Although there's no debate that Thornton got beat down in that fight, there is really no shame in losing a fight to John Scott. Is he even human?

Ouch, that was a beating, the size was just too much to handle for Thornton. Not sure about people saying they're not impressed or that Scott should win so it's not a big deal, that was a beat down, there's no other way to look at it.

Oh that was impressive, no doubt about that. Thornton is a pretty tough guy, and Scott demolished him.

I don't think he knows where he is.

Hope the concussion isn't a bad one.

Gotta give props to anyone who would go with a guy Scott's size.

Can't win em' all. But first loss since Winter Classic. Probably NHL's longest unbeaten streak snapped

One of the toughest for sure. I didn't expect it to happen like this. Thornton is one of the best technical fighters in the game. He doesn't have much power, but his counter punching is extremely effective. Good win for Scott, good for Thornton for being fearless as usual.

He lost to Mike Rupp in 2011. Scott is too big and tough. Good on Buffalo for picking up a guy that can protect their players.

To be honest, he was so out of it I wouldn't doubt if he's out for a few months.

Absolutely. I'd have to go back and see the Rupp fight, but I can't remember a clear Thornton defeat since the Winter Classic. Scott did his job, and well

Glad to see this. Thorton is a thug and he deserves this beating every once in a while.
Dear God, please give Lucic the balls to challenge Scott so he can finally get his bell rung just like Thorton.

Please........ I know 1993 is a long time ago, and you're probably really frustrated, but lets not be silly. Thornton ain't exactly a thug.

Thornton got dropped the same way Scott got dropped last week by Orr. one was a body shot, one was a face shot. Like to see Boston show Buffalo they cannot just have one fighter.... Too bad the refs ruined the lopsidedness. Wouldnt be surprised if boston picks up a super heavy soon, like Macyntire, especially if thornton is out extended time.

LoL thorton lost an edge and went down.

Have to think Orr right now is perhaps the best fighter in the league.

Thornton goes to the dressing room after the penalty time is over.
