List some interesting facts and trivia that you know about wrestling.
-The last time someone won the Royal Rumble and didn't win the WWE or World title at some point in that same calendar year was 1997 - Steve Austin. Edge almost broke the streak in 2010, but ended up winning the World Title in December.
-According to a quiz on sporcle.com (http://www.sporcle.com/games/Ivan82/...who_beat_Hogan), only 9 men have ever beat Hulk Hogan on PPV in WWE and WCW (Warrior, Undertaker, Yokozuna, The Giant, Piper, Sting, Flair, The Rock, and Angle).
-I don't know if this is true, but I remember reading that Piper's loss to Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 8 was the first time he had been pinned in many years.
-"The Game" gimmick was originally meant for Owen Hart.
-Randy Savage is a 6-time World Champion and all 6 of his title losses have been to either Hogan or Flair.
- Ivory once was a valet that escorted The Godfather down to the ring.
I remember having a wrestling almanac book, and they had a picture of her and description of how long she did it for - I think only a few televised shows - before making her way up the ranks and becoming a Women's Champion. Interesting enough, both her and Godfather were then placed in the same stable, Right to Censor, a long while later.

Technically the '97 Rumble didn't have a winner I thought.

Austin was declared the official winner of the Rumble but since he cheated to win, Gorilla Monsoon (storyline WWF president) denied him his Wrestlemania title shot.

that's not quite how it went down.
HBK vacated the title, and they had a fatal 4 way between the final 4 of the rumble at the february ppv to decide who the champion would be which was won by bret hart. Sid was still awaiting a rematch, so he took it the next night on raw and won the title. Two matches were set for wrestlemania:
Hart vs Austin
Undertake vs Sid
Sid and Hart had a rematch for the title to decide who took it to wrestlemania, which created the weird situation of Austin and Undertake interfering on behalf of their rivals in order to get the WM title shot.
Ya I knew that. I just meant that Monsoon took away Austin's guaranteed shot at Wrestlemania. That same night, he announced the Fatal Fourway match for the next PPV. Originally, the winner of the 4-way match would get the Wrestlemania title shot against the winner of the HBK vs. Sid title match. From what I remember, the HBK vs. Sid title match was scheduled for a special Thursday night edition of Raw. Not sure why they wouldn't just do it at the PPV.
But anyway, that Thursday night Raw featured the famous Shawn Michaels "lost my smile" promo and he vacated the title, so the match vs. Sid was cancelled. So the 4-way match at the PPV became a title match and the winner would defend the title against Sid the next night on Raw. Bret Hart won but lost to Sid the next night. They announced Undertaker as the #1 contender for Wrestlemania. I can't remember if they gave a reason for Taker being # 1 contender....maybe because he was the runnerup of the 4 way match. Probably the worst hyped Wrestlemania main event of all-time (either that or HHH vs. Jericho at WM 18).
Although, the Hart vs. Sid cage match the week before Wrestlemania is one of my favourite Raw main events ever. It was so unique for the Austin and Taker to be trying to help their rivals win the match.
