It's also entertaining reading the pouting coming from Boston's kiddy-fans on their board. It's very cute how they think of themselves as 'big and bad', but cry for penalties whenever someone touches a Bruin.
Lots of whining going on in their GDT plus their usual lets beat everyone up and send a message routine they do whenever the Bruins are losing.

Vanek now with the hat trick and a 5 point night.

Toronto with 8 PP's to 3 for Washington...does the league get more revenue sharing if they make the playoffs?

All I know is the Bruins fanbase are a very angry bunch of fans.. It's not just a few of them either. It's like the majority of them want someone beat up because their team is losing. Pretty sad really.

Their fanbase is divided like every other team's. You've got the tantrum bunch who live in that 'bad-ass' fantasy land, and you've got the more mature guys who are pretty cool and make the rivalry fun. I don't like when they generalize about Habs fans; I'd rather not do it to them.

Obviously it's too early so I can still eat crow, but it looks like the Rags are just as overrated as suspected...they have zero offensive depth after the Nash trade. Their first line is a beast, but at least Gaborik and Nash have a history of being streaky, and I'm not convinced last year's elite D is sustainable to quite that level.

Buffalo 7 Ruins 4

Julien wants to maybe send a message so he puts McDermid on the ice with 11 seconds left. Buffalo takes a time out sends out Scott. Scott talks to McDermid which leads him to tuck his tail and run away like all the other Bruin bullies that watched their resident punk get destroyed. I doubt Lucic will ever touch Miller again with Scott in the lineup.

Leafs hang on. Good, the further away they are from the bottom 6 the better.

Kessel can't even hit an empty net, lol.

Isles beat the Devils in OT. 2nd straight big road win for the NYI.

gotta say i love what buffalo did tonight. the NE loaded up because of boston's chippy, dirty, ******* play. Not a big fan of Scott but he destroyed Thornton and B's didn't have that card anymore. Buffalo came back and Lindy burned the ruins by calling a time out with 13 secs left after scoring an empty net goal. then he put scott back on the ice to end the game. message sent.

No doubt there are some mature guys over there but the amount of lets beat someone down and send a message with violence posts are quite common over there from many fans.

Van Riemsdyke has been pretty good for the Leafs so far. A player they've needed.

Buffalo-Boston should be a good series, or an even better one now.

I agree. Leafs don't need to draft high. Caps are a wreck though. I wouldn't want them to draft high either.

Last year they had to rely on Lundqvist alot and they still do. Still, they're starting to look like a BIG 3 team - Tampa Bay with Richards, Vinnie and St Louis, and Ottawa with Spezza, Alfie and Heatley. So far that building method has proven that it doesn't last in the long run.

Am in Boston until Monday. Was at a government office and the lady at the desk had a decked-out Bruins display with a Bobby Orr bear, banners and some signed posters. She just started talking about the bruins as soon as I walked up. I just let her ramble. It was funny cuz she got the impression that I knew nothing about who the bruins were or hockey in general. Then I just unlocked my phone which has the Habs logo as the wallpaper. Priceless expression.

Nice lady though. Better than her fellow fans.

Saw the 3rd of the Boston game - what a play by Vanek to ice it!

As for the Toronto game, saw the last 4-5 mins. Man, WSH sucks! Neuvirth was great, but the rest of them - pathetic. Green was so un-clutch. As was Ovechkin. (Why don't you go around a third time and throw the most predictable pass into the slot?) I'm beginning to think we'll have to battle the Leafs for 8th while hoping the Caps are out of the playoffs. Will get tough when the pens and philly get back to the top of the race. Islanders are kinda scary too, to say nothing of the Jets. 4 game in streak and 1 loss is all we can afford. Must win win win win and then maybe lose, repeat.

Pavelec is an overated goalie. Just gave up 2 soft goals to turn a 3-2 lead into a 4-3 Panthers lead.
