Loved Kulie, JVR, Kadri, Frattin, and even Kessel's game tonight.

I was at the game and the whole crowd was going ballistic at Ovies little round-a-bout show

That Ovechkin double lap needs to be looped over the Benny Hill theme

You were talking about a stamkos esque set-up, thats what Frattin can do; Kessel can't. Kessel uses a quick wrister, not a Stamkos type bomb.
I don't know what your comparing it to. Kessel can't take slappers with his stick flex but I bet if you give him a stiffer stickhe could launch it. Guys like that can do whatever they want with the puck

I still think the Leafs need a playmaking centre for Kessel. Bozak was non existant offensively, the guy is a 3rd line centre playing 1st line minutes and its getting to become unfair to Kessel. Kessel either has to do it alone or get help from his opposite wing man (Lupal or JVR)

Kessel has a good slapshot, but like you say the stick he plays with isn't nearly stiff enough. He'd have to do like other players in hte league and have separate sticks for the PP. But then he wouldn't be able to use his wrister, so I don't think that's an experiment that'll ever happen.

Loving the progress shown by Kadri, JVR and Frattin. Even if we miss the playoffs again this year, it's good to know that there is light on the horizon.

Yeah, Frattin has a nice shot and all, but it's nothing compared to Kessel's. The guy has an absolute bullet wrister and a good one-timer for the amount of flex his stick has. You're definitely right that he can do pretty much anything with the puck and I'm sure that if he had a 100 flex stick that he'd have a cannon like Stamkos.

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Kessel register the hardest slapshot at last yets Bauer camp (which included the likes of Stamkos).

It makes me tear up when I read posts that make sense and are about actually hockey talk.

100 flex is what Kessel uses. It would have to be far stiffer for a serious slapshot.

he did, he doesn't take the slapper as much. Also to do with his stick I believe.

You actually so vastly underestimate Kessel that it hurts me inside deeply.

Guess you're entitled to your opinion but I don't think you'll find many people agreeing with you on this case.

Wish I could see Ron Wilson's expression when he sees the Kadri/Frattin play.

Yea but Kessel can't pull off a one-timer at all (which is really the only time you can get a slap-shot off without it being blocked).

Doesn't matter how hard it is if you can never use it.
