This was brought up in the GDT. We are not talking about the attendance in Florida.

We can only warn people about this so much before we have to start taking more serious action.

PLEASE, talk about the game on ice. Not the attendance, etc, etc.

Thank you.

PS Claude was PISSED. Thank god.

Coach Claude Noel: says the penalty killing was way better tonight. Had game in control and came apart in 3rd period.

Bad penalties? Sure, but explain the lethargy for 50 minutes?

The ONLY thing positive out of this road trip so far is Redmond looked really good to me. Heckuva first game.

Seriously though I want Noel to go off on these guys. I still swear this team is NOT this bad.

He said something along the lines of

"I thought the penalty killing was better tonight than against Montreal, sure we gave up 3 goals, but we can't be taking stupid penalties."

He did say that. He said they were playing the way they wanted better or something along those lines despite giving up the 3 goals. Wellwood mentioned after the game that they were trying a new pk system this season and its taking the guys a while to get used to it. I assume that's what Noel was referring to.

I think this is the first time this year I have been PISSED at this team.

I was disappointed against Montreal but this is just... against a divisional opponent ripe for the plucking.

Play like you did against the Bruins or Pens and this game is yours after the first.

If they weren't playing tomorrow, Noel would BAG SKATE the hell out of them.

Any good PKers available via trade???? Way too passive on the PK.

Probably a bad idea but i'd do it anyways. From 2am to 6am bag skate. They aren't winning tomorrow anyways.

All i know is our PK is like close to last in the league. With it being that low, if it doesn't get fixed. You will lose more games than win.

Also after this game. I believe we have dropped to like the bottom 2 or 3 in the league with GAA. Again, with this stat won't win enough games.

I was not overwhelmed by Florida's depleted lineup tonight.

Stanley Cup contenders beat teams like Florida, midling teams lose to teams like Florida.

Ponikarovsky and Jokinen's penalties were due to being either mentally weak to physically tired.

On the postitive side, I thought Redmond had a good game.

We have lots of things to work on.

How about a goalie, any on waivers? Hear the Kings number 3 is really good. Pavs has shown no improvement as a Jet!

Sounds like it was a great game... -_- Glad I've missed the last couple of games I guess. Am disappointed that I missed Redmond's debut but it sounds like he played decent. I have a good feeling about that kid.

I know people feel like it's the same **** different day, but I think it says something good when you have youngsters like Burmi, Kane, Scheifele, and now Redmond making positives strides forward. I think one more year and the youth will catch up to us and give us better overall talent and better depth(something we seem to lack on D).

Disappointed in Pavs. I'll try to catch some highlights if possible. Hard to get a read of how he is really playing when half the people on here seem to change their opinion on a daily basis.

I too was sucked in by the hopes that this was a new and improved Jets team, but now I'm starting to resign myself to the fact that this team will spin its tires at .500 until Bogo gets back, and probably won't make an appreciable jump from their record last year unless Pavs figures his **** out. Our PP and PK have sucked lately, but I'm pretty confident that'll sort itself out in due time.

Was there ever a game that more perfectly illustrated how ravaged our defensive depth is? You can't expect to win many games with Hainsey on the first pairing and Stuart playing key defensive minutes. I thought those two were exposed today more than any other game. And despite his goal, I thought Enstrom was very average overall.

Pavelec did make some very nice saves in the first two periods, but then gave up a pair of softies in the 3rd. It's a zero sum game with him, he's making big saves and allowing stoppable shots. There's no way this is a playoff team unless Pavs is playing like an above average netminder, and right now he's simply not. He's playing like a pedestrian #1 goalie, and allowing an average of one soft goal per game.

Kane's been playing great lately, so it's hard to get too down on him, but man did he have some WTF moments this game. The giveaway that led to the 5th goal was the obvious one, but there were several other moments where he just seemed unaware of his surroundings, and did nothing useful with the puck.

Blah. On the plus side, I have a good feeling the Jets will come out like world beaters vs. the Lightning. Playing to the level of the competition, it's how we do.

I dunno man, consensus here seems to have been that he's been playing somewhere between ok and below average.

It's weird, because he's been better statistically, but it seems like he's giving up more bad goals on average than he was last year. Too many pucks from 30+ feet getting by him, or yielding brutal rebounds (ie. on Mueller's goal).
