Let's hope the Rangers don't find suckers (like the Habs) to take on some of their long contracts when they'll inevitably need to shed them. I thought they were deeper up front, but looking at their forwards beyond the 1st line, it's not really promising.

That was priceless.

The big bad Bruins are not that bad when you have a bigger bully around.

Envious of the Sabres for having Scott on their team.

IMO the Oilers are heading down the same road after they sign all these high picks and Shultz for big money.

ALthough I don't mind Shawn Thornton it was kind of nice to see the most smug looking player in the league get that look wiped off his face tonight.

typical of Foolien, trying to send messages with 14 secs left by putting lane macdermid on the ice. loved Ruff's response

I don't think we'll be seeing Lucic going anywhere near Miller again with Scott in the Sabres line up. Props to Thornton for even attempting to go with Scott. He should tell Milan that he needs to settle his own mess next Sabres game though..

Hilarious(and ironic) how devastated Bruins fans are right now.

"It's not fair/he's a goon/he shouldn't be in the league" oh, cry me a river.

The only reason the Sabres got Scott was because the Bruins were running over their goalie & threatening to beat them up!!

Nothing wrong with that.

Different people have different ideas on the composition of a team. Gainey started the experiment with having small undersized but talented players on a team. Gauthier continued along with that experiment.

It failed and we are changing course. And we still have some more pieces of the failed experiment to be replaced. In time.

That trade is starting to look good now with Bourque working harder this year. Maybe he did have an injury last year, it also did not help that Montreal was so dreadful last year with the poor coaching and injuries.

I don't know what happened to Cammy after 2010. I know he suffered from a lot of injuries but it seems like he transformed from a competitor to the softest player in the league. He's still skilled but if expected to battle for the puck he just immediately gives up.

Between him & Marchand they're establishing a real diver culture among the young core.

I think a lot has to do with his center and other winger. When he was ripping it up here, it was so often on one timers. When he did snipe, he had good support as possible threats, so he could rip from a decent distance. Last year, it's not that Pleks was bad (or whoever the rotating winger was), more that he didnt position himself well enough for the passes and the type of game we seemed to end up playing got stuck in the boards. Cammy is good when there's space. I haven't seen much of him in CGY so I can't compare, but it was obvious what had changed when he was here - that he can't get his own pucks. I'm loving Bourque's game comparatively!

Wow. Wow. Hamilton is how big? And that shrug took him off his feet? I mean, that's pretty good air for a 200+ pounder, coupled with the agony face grab. Way to sell getting beaten, big man, lol.

Looks like Dougie may have embellished a little. Just like Thornton did last year on that Emelin hit. And here I thought no Bruins player ever did that. Still a cheap move by Stafford though.

Surely you forgot the :

I bet they hardly crack half the number of Price vs. Halak threads. (pre, during and post, I might add! I believe it is now all grown up into the "Eller in the doghouse" thread.)
