This. No excuses.

I honestly wonder if we will ever see the dome chant "Rebuild" "Rebuild"!? Fans are getting impatient and want something fresh.

When I say "Rode 1 line" I'm referring to the scoring chances that are generated.
Cervenka/Stajan/Hudler line (at least in my opinion) generated the most chances. That 4th line created tons of energy and Jones has been giving a solid effort every time he hit the ice. Every other forward was okay, but we did ride 1 lines chemistry tonight.

I'll be there as well so if we do lose, at least I'll know someone else who will be in mourning too lol

I'd love Jones. I'd also love MacKinnon, Drouin, Barkov, Lindholm, Monahan.

If we manage to pick up another 1st Gauthier is another favorite as well, but he keeps going up and I suspect he'll be top ten by the end of it.

Let's be reality, the Chicago game is likely to be a loss. We're in a big hole early and in a few weeks, the grave will be too deep to climb out of.

That said, very happy with the acquisitions of Hudler and Wideman. I disliked them at the time but thus far, they've impressed. Wideman gives the Flames a big shot without being a complete pylon/wuss. Hudler gives the Flames a very smart and patient player that we're severely lacking in the lineup.

But seriously. Get some top tier talent while people still think Jarome's got some juice, get some top tier talent while people think Kipper's still a stud, get something for Cammy.
You have or are stuck with as a core in a rebuild:
Hudler, Cervenka, Backlund, Baertchi, TJ, Gio, Wideman, Glencross, Tanguay & Ramo.

I mean, Nathan MacKinnon is going to be a very good top line center in this league; just start selling. The team we have on the ice tonight doesn't look like it can compete with anyone.
I would keep Iggy he has been fine just isn't as fast as he once was and it shows move Gio for ROR, move Cammy + Butler to Nashville for Klein and rights to Radulov, move Kipper to TO for Reimer+Franson (since Kadri most likely won't be available)

line up

Cervenka - ROR - Hudler
Glencross - Tanguay - Iginla
Radulov - Backlund - Sven

**** if its a good offer move Iggy

Cervenka - ROR - Hudler
Glencross - Tanguay - Radulov
Stempniak - Backlund - Sven

/end of dream

Assuming we're picking in the top ten (and we may well be) how do we get another top ten pick?

Probably one of the easiest games they'll get all season and they blew it. Feaster definitely should start evaluating things the next couple weeks because if he thinks this teams gona make the playoffs when they can't even beat an injury ridden/tired avalanche team hes delusional.

And for those who think we're getting Jones/MacKinnon don't get your hopes up. If I had to guess this teams going to push for the playoffs and end up finishing 9th/10th

I don't want to move Iginla but Maatta + 1st would do wonders for our prospect pool

There is a but in there, assuming you're questioning my hope of getting Gauthier as well.

Otherwise I assume you mean how should we go about getting another? I think it would primarily be through packaging picks/players on draft day or after the post season/draft lottery.

The biggest problem I saw out there was that every line but the CSH line couldn't complete a ****ing pass.

And can someone tell them how to keep a puck in the ****ing zone? We constantly lose pucks. Don't tell me it's the ice, Colorado had crisp tape to tapes all farking night.

If Iggy is available, there will be a bidding war I assume/hope.

I believe every team out of the playoffs has a crack at the 1st pick so theres still hope

There will, I can't see pittsburgh not wanting him on the wing with Crosby

Flames could finish in the bottom 5 easy this season
Started the season with so many home games and the least amount of games to date and are 1-3-1
They just got blown out by a team who played 3 games in 4 nights including last night on the west cosst well the Flames were off and they were missing 3 of their best forwards
That is just bad flames

Yea I honestly havent been upset with Iggy's play but if he wants to go and the return is good prospect + first then do get some new faces on this team see what happens.

No buts, gut this ****ing team and suck donkey poo for the remaining 43 games. Then try again next year.

The question is - make him available now, or at the deadline. Which scenario provides a better return?

Make him available now he seems like less of a rental and we can eat half his cap hit so he only costs 3.5

I think towards the deadline when there are more teams desperate to make a big move.

Teams I can see being interested in Iggy:

Pittsburgh
Boston
NYR
Philly
Detroit
Ottawa (Just lost Spezza)
San Jose
LA
St. Louis
Tampa
Vancouver (bleh)

Granted a few of them could falter as the season goes on but all of them would love to add an extra punch to their team, especially if we can eat half of his cap hit and then at the deadline I believe its still pro-rated.

Plus you know, if we wait till the deadline they'll have less time to extend him
