No but seriously what do you want from Minnesota for Burns?

And is this finally the year when the Sharks will start their rebuild?
Why would we trade Burns when we just signed him to a 5 year contract? We don't need to rebuild until we have trouble making the playoffs.

Have to think Ken Holland at least kicks the tires on Murray or Braun. Kent Huskins is not the solution.

Would kill for Burns or Murray on the Oilers.

MacArthur for Murray makes the most sense here.

Wow... HF finds a trade that both sides would agree to. how often does that happen?

Murray for MacArthur ? what sane leaf fan would agree to this? If/when Mac is traded it`ll be for a prospect and/or pick.

That was my thought -- Buffalo has too many too. Problem is, most of them have stunk.

Hate to burst the bubble but they will likely just send Irwin down. I really doubt they will push a trade now when defensive depth is something they can keep. Besides, Irwin eventually has to be sent down when they get healthy because him sitting in the press box isn't going to help him any. At least with Petrecki, they don't have an option unless they risk waivers.

Any chance they move Vlasic? If so what would it take from the Oilers?

I'd imagine that the Sharks would want to round out their top four of Boyles, Burns, Vlasic, and xxxx.

I'd also imagine that there would be a minor bidding war for Vlasic if he were to become available. Personally, he is in my top 10 targets for a partner for Pietrangelo.

The Sharks might be willing to deal some depth, but I can't imagine they are willing to deal any of their top three defensemen.

Agree totally. non Sharks fans believe a rebuild is coming but, as you note, the D alone has quietly been re-built already. With depth on the D, we are looking at presently 5 on the roster alone under 27. While Couture will head the forwards alongside Pavelski going forward for some time still. Lets also remember, Thornton and Marleau are only 33 and Havlat 31, not 37, 38. Take out Handzus and Boyle (not that we want to take out Boyle) and their avg. age drops quite a bit. As it is now, they only rank mid pack of all teams in avg age.

not happening for anything really. he is our number 1 defenseman for the next 10 years. they wouldn't move him.

Brad Stuart - consider the top 4 rounded.

Not available. Second most untouchable player on the Sharks, after Burns.

You hit the nail on the head. But, Brad Stuart rounds out the top-4. I hope it isn't just a beginning of the season thing, but Stuey has been absolutely amazing. Playing like a legit #2.

Couturier. Vlasic is that important to us.

Besides, aren't you guys in need of more of a puck-moving guy?
