Ovechkin vs Kessel

Out of the two slumping stars who will end the season with the most points?

I'd say ovechkin, he's playing with legitimate talent, Kessel is playing with second/third line tweeners. Also I think Ovy is just plain the better player

Well from what I've heard Ovechkin has been pretty bad, Kessel has been fine, makes things happen when he's on the ice he just hasn't gotten the bounces. Kessel's a career 10+% shooter and he currently leads the league in shots, things will average out eventually and the goals will come. He's getting assists at the same rate basically as last year (slightly higher actually).

I will do it now, for the first time in my history on this board. I will vote against Ovechkin. I have been his biggest fanboy since 2005 and finally it has come down to this. I have lost my faith in him.

Kessel will score more both, points and goals.

I ****ing hate Phil Kessel. And the Leafs too.

OV has looked awful this year and looked pretty bad tonight. Outside of a shot that went in, and Reimer should have had it, he was pretty invisible. Kessel has played well, looks like the same old Kessel who's an elite scorer. He'll be fine and it's only a matter of time before he's lighting the opposition up.

Kessel will have more points this season. I think Ovie needs a change of scenery myself. Kessel may be traded as well with UFA status after next season.

He's playing on a line with Joey Crabb and Jay Beagle.

But yeah, PP time included, Ovie will likely outscore Kessel.

With Lupul out, and no legitimate top line center, I'm not expecting a whole lot as far as points go from Phil.

He's playing absolutely lights out as far as effort goes, but you can only do so much when your line mates aren't the best.

He's still creating so many opportunities though. He could easily have had a hatty last night.

JvR is playing well, Bozak could be better but these linemates are no where near as bad as having a 30 point Bozak and Joey Crabb.
