Well from what I've heard Ovechkin has been pretty bad, Kessel has been fine, makes things happen when he's on the ice he just hasn't gotten the bounces. Kessel's a career 10+% shooter and he currently leads the league in shots, things will average out eventually and the goals will come. He's getting assists at the same rate basically as last year (slightly higher actually).
I will do it now, for the first time in my history on this board. I will vote against Ovechkin. I have been his biggest fanboy since 2005 and finally it has come down to this. I have lost my faith in him.
OV has looked awful this year and looked pretty bad tonight. Outside of a shot that went in, and Reimer should have had it, he was pretty invisible. Kessel has played well, looks like the same old Kessel who's an elite scorer. He'll be fine and it's only a matter of time before he's lighting the opposition up.
