Volpatti clearly landed a shot at 0.26 A good one too, Murray's hair gives it away

Before he wasn't a 4 d man he wouldn't do it. That is why i said 6 years. And he is better for the opposition on the ice than the penalty box .

This.. the amount of people saying "he's a spot picker" as an insult is ridiculous. If you fight.. you pick your spots. Some of the toughest mother****ers ever picked their spots. You think guys fought every dude that challenged them?

Yeah, he didn't win the fight because Rypien's jersey got pulled up.

Get real.

yeah, every fighters pick thier spots from time to time but not everyday like Murray and Bieksa. Nobody called Probert a spot picker, but he declined fight from time to time. The difference between him and them is their fightcards...... Murray and Bieksa fightcards is atrocious.

Murray has fought Parros, Godard, Boulton, Eager, Stortini, Laperriere, Rypien, Fedoruk, Boll, Barch, and Wade Brookbank. He will fight anyone who challenges him, he just isn't challenged often.

He's a hockey player who can fight, not simply a goon. He also has a reputation among the players as being a guy you don't want to mess with.

Whenever a player has challenged Murray, he has never turned them down.

You are comparing an '80s goon to a top-4 defenseman?

Murray is Sharks most important PKer. He needs to pick his spots or else he is out of the league. Compare him to Stevens or Beukeboom instead.

ok lol. I will compare him with Stevens if you want

Stevens: 159 fights in is hockey career
Murray: 45 fights

Stevens, who was way better than Murray, have fighted some of the toughest guys in the ligue will Murray have done nothing.
Murray is 240lbs and fight guys who are 200lbs way to often vs guy who are +220lbs
