Excellent, you could see Price was doing it for Subban...but he seemed annoyed multiple times. This works if both of them would have done in style most of the time it wasnt anyway.

Forgot to add, I have absolutely nothing against Subban.

The humble thing is great, in the heat of the moment (in a goal) everyone will show emotion normally. but once the moment is over its over.

I like that the whole team salutes the fans now, even if a bunch of other teams were doing it first. It's kind of like a team celebration instead of one that has the crowd focusing on only two of the players. Good call by Therrien IMO. Wasn't a fan of the hiring but I'm impressed by his work so far this year.

How two guys triple fiving makes them closer to the fans ?

Right on. Price was not enjoying it that much anyway.

Reporter: So PK what do you think about this decision regarding the triple low five?
Subban: I am not the coach. I am here to help this team win. Team... blablabla... team.
Reporter: So coach, why are you doing this?
Therrien: Pas l’temps d’niaiser avec ça! Next question.

=> No more talks about the triple low five.

Again, I think Therrien will be a good coach for Subban.

EDIT:

Oh... and this:
agree with this, + i'm sure Price was getting tired of it too, that stuff is played out

lol is this why we haven't seen a single pass 2on1? I guess Gallagers goals was on a partial 2on1, but really besides that not a single pass. have we seen any one touch passing? besides that one time we were on PP and the opponents stick broke. This ''team concept'' is so much BS! they can't even show little enthusiasm on Subbans signing.

Yhea. It's those kind of showmanship that turns any sport into a show. After this, tell me why football players have their trademark celebrations?

This reminds me of how in football when a player scores a touchdown, goes to the ref and hands him the ball and walks to his bench with his head down.

Boring, but the announcers are always like "OH WOW, so classy what a great guy woohoo!"

Give it a rest Therrien

Didn't Price and Subban do a "triple low five" event at some bar this summer?

I remember hearing something about that, which isn't exactly something Price would endorse if he was annoyed with it.

It's not football. And the low five was not after a goal.

It wasbjust a ritual between two players.

WTF a 2 on 1 has to do with the salute to the fans after a game?! Therrien decided that the celebration will be a whole team salute and not only a 2 guys thing. Nothing wrong with that and it has nothing to do with who scores a goal on a 2 on 1. Galchenyuk jumped into the glasses when he scored and Therrien had nothing to say about it...

NHL = No Hun League? I guess it doesn't have the ring that the NFL does.

Damn you NFL. You win again!

On a side note, who ****ing cares? If it adds to the overall team spirit than let them do it. It's not like it's disrespectful to the other team.

This sounds more like MT trying to subdue Subban than anything else. This could eventually go one of 2 ways. PK adopts it and begins to self edit or he says **** it and we either trade him or he leaves as a UFA. I don't like when scenarios are as polarized as this one can be.

I'm fine with this and understand it.

I think the new coaching staff, and Markov, will make PK the elite player we think he can be.

You're right. It's Hockey, and it was done after an event that is even more important - a victory.

And it wasn't a "single celebration", it was done with the key member of the team; the goalie.

We should remember this next time we complain that hockey players are too vanilla. That they are the ultimate boring athletes.

I actually don't mind this decision.

And I also think Price did it for PK. I'm sure Price doesn't mind at all.

Just salute the fans if they are playing at the Bell center like every one else.

But I don't think MT would go as far to ask his players not to celebrate too much after a goal, especially in OT.

Well now we know why Therrien doesn't like Eller. That first star celebration was ridiculous, pompous and demoralized the other team.

-4 Classy Therriens

Just saying with all this team talk I haven't see much teamwork. And why can't they do their thing and salute the crowd with everybody afterwards? Like I said, they always did their thing after the opposition was off the ice.

Wow, what a saving grace. The worst season this team has ever had in my lifetime, but I can forget all of that after a silly handshake.

Hopefully this doesn't degenerate to the point where PK has to beg everyone to celebrate a goal with him like Yakupov the other night...

Am I the only one who always thinks of Cole when I hear PK bothers some of the vets? Cole treats hockey like it's a funeral. I picture guys like Gio and Pleks just laughing things off.
