he showed the ability to keep up with top end speed in the WJC and also displayed one hell of a one-timer. excited for this kid.
That would be pretty sick. I still love the fact this guy's nickname is Ghost. That alone puts him at the top of my list of guys I want to see succeed.

I don't think the Flyers need to blow things up like some are suggesting. There' still lots of young and good talent on the big club. However, there's no reason that they can't have some elite talent waiting in the wings.....
That sucks, but three in less than a year is not good. He may be one punch from a 4th. Injuries are part of the game but we cannot get a break! 88,25,20 among others. Oh well, you just bite the bullit and fight through it cause no one is going to feel sorry for you or give you a break.

I hope Sim still has it. They're so starved for offense, and there's nothing but fringe players down there. Those guys just need someone to pass to

I used to actually like sim and found myself pulling for him pretty much wherever he played. I hope he has something left in the tank to give since Ford has fallen flat on his face

Noebels-Laughton-Akeson
McGinn-Cousins-Harper
Wellwood-Holmstrom-Parks
Leier-Brown-Mangene
Zolnierczyk

Jones-Gostisbehere
Manning-Gustafsson
Alt-Lauridsen
Konan

Stolarz
Heeter

Seriously just ice this roster next year. It might be bad but at least the guys would have some fight in them. Bryz can be the coach.

Stolarz picked up a Shutout in 1-0 SO win by London. He saved 34 out of 34 shots.

Ghost is playing on NBC sports

Edit: Just threw a big hit. He's been REALLY noticeable in a good way, all over the ice.

Great to hear Ghost, Cousins and Stollie are doing so well. That open ice hit ghost threw was great, didn't know he had that edge to his game

Laughton picked up 2 assists tonight and got into a fight. Hopefully his stint with us really helped his confidence going forward.

Cousins picked up 2 assists as well.

Reading the London board. Most posters there are saying Stolarz stole this game for them tonight.

I will puke on myself out of excitement if we have a legit goalie prospect in our system. Especially on a timeline that allows him to work his way to the NHL.

I think we would have to sign him to a contract after next year if we want to keep his rights. I'm sure they'll probably evaluate his status after this season. I think he spends this next year and the year after that as an over-ager in London. Which is fine by me the Hunter have a great track record of developing players and i think i read their goalie coach is one the best in juniors.

For those who follow Adirondack, how is Oliver Lauridsen's game?
He had an awesome +/- statistics (compared to the rest of the team) that has gone down a lot lately (from +8 to +2 - up again to +3).

Since he is busy playing for you, we are without him on the danish national team for the Olympic Qual. I was wondering if you see him as a career AHL players, or he has what it takes to be a stay-out-home defender for the Flyers in the future?
For instance is his scating improving?

Stolarz is legit. I had a chance to talk with the Knights goaltending coach (Bill Dark) and Dark says that Stolarz is the most athletically gifted goaltender he's ever worked with. On top of it, Stolarz is a true student of the game and he is always the first to arrive at practice and last to leave. As well, he's extremely coachable and is always asking on how he can improve his game. The other thing about Stolarz is that he's always talking with his defensemen and he never rips on his defense if they give up a bad play that leads to a goal. Stolarz views himself as the last line of defense and as such, there are times when you have to bail out your teammates.

Maybe it's just me, but for the first time in a long time, I'm confident that the Flyers have found their future goaltender. He seems to have the right attitude, is willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the NHL, and never rests on his laurels. I think Stolarz could possibly be a blue chipper in terms of goaltending prospects. Very happy with the decision to go to the OHL and get some much needed playing time. I don't know if he would have ever received as much playing time in Nebraska-Omaha if he stayed......
