I'm a Detroit fan, but actually like both Chicago and Vancouver (plus Sharks). Keith isn't a goon or scrub who is sent out to agitate or injure. That was star on star violence. Keith took a number and went after the guy who elbowed him. Sedin either accepts that's what happens when you throw cheapshots and moves on, or he can challenge Keith. It's utter BS to expect that Keith now has to fight someone else. The Code isn't about seeking retribution when your star player decides he's going to do something cheap and get called on it. It's to protect your stars from the cheapshots themselves.
Personally, I think all that needed to happen has happened.
To avoid riling up any Blackhawks fans I'll respond to this in our GDT, okay? Come stop by if you want to talk about it further.
Game is scheduled to air on CSN+. Anyone know if it'll get transferred to CSN (or at least be available there) after the Bulls game ends? Bulls should finish right about when the Hawks start. They're on CSN at 6:30.

I hate the Bulls. What the **** is on WGN tonight that is so special? Re-runs of one of the Waynes brothers failed TV shows or something?

Game 6 that ended with the Ben Smith OT winner was awesome. Crow was great in that OT.
Crawford was awesome that whole series actually, game 7 too. I thought he was going to tear it up the next year and I took him waaay too high in my pool the following season!
Saw a couple Nucks fans in their GDT whining about one of the refs tonight... According to them, they think he always screws them over with calls and non-calls.
Wow. Must be a slow day as it is usually all of them
Sedins hit was not dirty as determined by the National Hockey League.
And Keiths hit was deemed worth of only a 5 game suspension by the National Hockey League.
Yet, Canucks fans are crying like Keith chopped off Sedins head. He threw a 5 game suspension-like elbow.
Brendan Smith got 5 games(and 3 preseason games) for his elbow on Ben Smith. Looks like the NHL thought the Brendan Smith hit was worse but yet I don't remember Hawks fans crying and whining and being a bunch of babies. Of course Hawks fans wanted retribution and payback, but we definitely would never stoop to the level of Canucks fans...that is for sure.
And I understand the Keith hit was dirty, but it absolutely amazes me how Canucks fans like to pretend their organization isn't a complete joke and also extremely dirty/cheap. Burrows? Kesler? Torres? Bitz? Rome? Lappierre? Bieska? these are just a few of the huge d-bags and cheap players that the Hawks have had to deal with over the past couple seasons. They usually start every fight and can't keep control of themselves, like fans rioting and destroying their own city. Just because the last thing to happen was something the Hawks player did doesn't mean we will pretend that the Hawks are dirty compared to the Canucks.
remember Bieksa jumping Stalberg from behind after a clean hit being behind 6 or 7 to 1?? Tough guy
He threw one clean hit and nothing happened because of that. A few seconds later he hit someone in the head and then on this way out of the zone slashed someone else on the leg. That's when Bxa destroyed him.
