The Flames will trade down. That organization has far too much pride to be picking in the top 3.

I like Hartley. Sucks for him that that's what he was given to work with.

A shortened season is the worst case scenario for Calgary given that it takes Iginla and Kiperusoff two months to show up every year. If they're smart both of those guys will be playing in the playoffs somewhere.

Too bad we're not in the east division. Other than the Bruins, few true powerhouses there. Everything's up for grabs. In contrast, the west has San Jose, Chicago, and St. Louis at the very least.

I'm sure the Rangers and Pens disagree

So is my hockey pool. I was counting on Landeskog to continue from where he left off last year.

That's a huge loss for the Avs. This only makes their win last night even more impressive.

Wow are the Jets bad. Losing to the Lightning isn't surprising but that game against the Panthers... Yeouch. They need help.

It's funny that for a change, goaltending is NOT the problem in Philly.

Having the defense core gutted to the point that Kurtis Foster begins to look like a decent depth signing has a way of doing that.

Wow the Blues got absolutely jobbed by the refs with a 5 minute penalty that wasn't even a penalty at all.
And the Wings just took the lead.

Yep, Jets just getting curb stomped. Between last nights game against Florida and this one they gave up 11 goals in 3 periods of hockey. I think 11 in a row but I could be off on that last part.
Whats with Buffy? Last I heard was a more than mysterious "undisclosed injury" that nobody in the Jets org was talking about.
This team is just a cluster****. Winnipeg fans woulda been far better served by the Coyotes return.
Any talk of Calgary picking #1 isn't fully considering how horrible teams like Florida, Winnipeg, Columbus are. I doubt Flames finish in the worst 5. Theres stiff competition.

Philly losing Pronger and Carle gives them maybe the worst offensive D corps in the league. Even losing Jagr hurt.

Luongo looks so damn good this season. Hawks couldn't do anything.
The Canucks would be insane to trade Luongo.

Not sure if this was mentioned somewhere, but I take it Morris and Doan didn't get any supplementary discipline for instigating a fight/jumping a guy after the game was over and hitting an unsuspecting player who was in a vulnerable position from behind after the whistle.
