The link was to show who he is, since he haven't been in america yet, so people might not know about him...He's been playing in SEL for quite a while.

Yes he needs to be signed by this summer. I don't know what the plan will be since he's a RD and the Habs already have Ellis/Pateryn and will have Thrower/Dietz all in Hamilton next year as RD's. They could sign him and loan him back to the SEL like they did with Engqvist which makes does make sense even though he'll still count against the 50 contract limit.

Last year was his first full season in the SEL, so it's great to see that in his 2nd full season he's hitting career highs across the board.

It's the 3rd leg of the Euro Cup Tour. Former Hab draft picks Perezhogin and Korneev will be there for Russia as they usually are. Emelin has played in this tournament a few times as well in the past.

Just a rough list of contracts towards the 50 limit that could come off the books next year. We have 47 spots used up this year.

Kyle Klubertanz, Jason DeSantis, Nokelainen, Armstrong, Bouillon, Budaj, St. Denis are all UFA's.

Of the RFA's, I wouldn't qualify Stejskal, Mayer, Schultz, Blunden.

I'd qualify Leblanc, Geoffrion, Palushaj & Dumont.

That leaves us with 36 contracts to sign Kristo, Dietz, Nygren, Pribyl, & Collberg. Honestly I wouldn't sign Walsh or Archambault. That puts us at 41. Sign a backup goalie and hopefully an NCAA goalie which puts us at 43 and gives us 7 to fill out our team and vets for Hamilton.

Me likey. Might not mean anything but Hertl, who's an year younger, has 25pts in the same amount of games while being a 1st rounder.

They have an article about him on the team's site: http://www.hcsparta.cz/clanek.asp?id...vacet-let-7492

They used a quote of his as a title...google translate of it doesn't really make sense, "I want to win another twenty years".

Andreas Engqvist still lighting it up in the KHL too. His faceoff stats is pretty decent and he's a right handed center. I think he still has a shot with this organization if he keeps improving like this in the KHL. I am intrigued to see his play during the WC.

Starting.. let's see if he can keep it up. It's about time he broke out. If he continues to get ice time, I think he should stay another year and play the most he can. Then come over to Hamilton.

If I were Bergevin, I'd sign him and bring him over for training camp to see where he is in terms of development. If he doesn't look like a player that would be a regular top 9 in the AHL, might be better to give him another season in the Czech league. Alexander Avtsin is a good example how bringing over a player too soon to the AHL can hinder development.

He has already come over for prospects camp. They do know what they have in him and that's a project with upside and risk.

One things for sure he's been very streaky this season, but he's red hot right now since moving up to the 3rd line with 7 pts in the last 3 games. Looks like the increased ice time is working for him, but before that he had 1 point in the previous 12 games. A funny line in his stats, in the first 3 games of the season and his last 3 games, in those 6 games he has 10 points, in the other 29 games he has 8 pts.

Either way it's great to see him heating up, will be interesting to see what the teams plans are for him and where he ends up playing next season.

Do we really need 7 spots at the expense of Walsh and Archie? They can always play in the echl. I think they have enough upside to take a chance on.

With Walsh i'd want to see what the doctors think of the hip injury and how they feel it will hold up over time. But at this point it's so hard to guess what roster moves will happen over the next few months. I would assume that Archambault gets signed, Walsh of course is a much bigger question mark since he hasn't been healthy since he was drafted which has to raise a lot of red flags. If they have legit concerns about him but think he might be worth a shot keeping in the organization of sorts, they could look at an AHL deal first to see how he handles the move to AHL or ECHL.

I wouldn't hope too much for Engqvist mate, he's like most Swedish players in KHL who will do well there cause of big ice and pretty much never adapt to NHL rinks (weinhandl, mårtensson, Omark, Harju etc.)

but it would be a happy surprise if he did come back and do well

Walsh has some hope and Archambault looked good in camp last year. Archambault's problems are mostly mental so there is some chance that he works them out.

Agree about the Avtsin warning but if Pribyl stays in the Czech league I believe he's never going to make the NHL.

It's not that the Czech league is that bad, I mean it's comparable to the Swiss league in quality, but there's something about their development right now that's creating some very bad skaters. It's pretty much the weakness in every Czech prospect who didn't move to the CHL as soon as possible; with guys like Hertl skating is pretty much the difference between being a blue chip prospect and not. Obviously this is speculation on my part and it looks like the Czech player development is on the upswing after a terrible decade, but Pribyl needs special attention with his skating that he's more likely to get elsewhere IMO.

If he's not brought to North America, I hope the Habs have Rockstrom find a place for him in Sweden, or even Russia with our new Russian scout. I'd trust Swedish or Russian trainers to know how to improve speed over Czech ones.

I meant more in a bottom 6 role, similar to a latter years Bonk or a Handzus type.

Bozon scored his 30th.

Dietz had two assist and was +2 while Thrower had an assist and was +1 in a 6=0 win.

Hudon was blanked and was -1 in a 3-2 loss to Bathurst.

Archambault too was blanked and was -3 in a 5-2 loss vs Québec.
