That's true. Really impressed with Clarktard right now. Still would love to see the CGBG go to line 4 and have enough depth to make Clarkson and Josefson the cogs to the 3rd line and dominate there. That sort of depth would be absurd and hopefully propel on on another lengthy postseason run.

Doubt Zubie leaves. He looks like he really likes it here. Great locker room guy. The guy I was most worried about leaving was Zajac, and we know how that ended up

If Zubie leaves, who will make them coffee and work as a DJ?

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
Devils' goalie plan for weekend: Brodeur at Pittsburgh Saturday, Hedberg at Isles Sunday.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
DeBoer said he'll make a decision in morning on whether Fayne (minor arm injury) will play Saturday. Fayne said he's ready if needed.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
DeBoer also said decision on whether Adam Larsson will play again will also be made in morning, but said he was "very good" last night.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
DeBoer said he doesn't think Henrique is up to the minutes a top 2 line center needs to play yet, so that's why he's working him at LW.

I figured Marty would get the Pens, and Moose on the island. The Moose has had some pretty good games for us at the mausoleum.

Loving that first line for the first time since Zubrus was on it.

How about:

Greene-Fayne
Sal-Larsson
Tallinder-Zids

Clarkson will have good offers on the open market. Now I would say he would probably leave but he screams that he is a life long Devil by the way he acts

They showed it almost every game during the first half of last season! Though it was a bit edited. I think it would usually end after he knocked the sticks over!

That explains it, I didn't get to watch many games on MSG during most of 2011.

Re: Clarkson: never thought he would score 30. Glad im being proven wrong. Wouldnt be surprised if he took a discount. Also wouldnt be surprised if lou blatantly overpaid him. He never loses the puck. Ever. The only time he loses it is on missed shots and flubbed passes. You will never see him getting pick pocketed, open ice, boards or anywhere.

I was reading the discussion on another thread about what parts about his game make him a such a good player and I think the core of his strengths comes down to that right there.
It's so simple, yet SUCH an important, vital, valuable strength to have. When you add Clarkson's charisma, his leadership, the fact he's always going all out for his team mates any way he can, can score, can actually set up plays (those assists didn't come out of nowhere), and never stops working hard (EVER) to his puck protection strengths, you have an awesome hockey player. He's one of the most dependable players on the team for that reason.
