Watching the LA feed. "They are now a high energy fast breaking machine!!!"

Nicest thing I've ever heard from a US feed about the Raps.

Also...a bit premature. It was 1 play.

If DD and Rudy Gay can play together, then this is a huge win of a trade. My fear was that their styles being so similar...it would clash on the court. Still wish Ross would get his touches as well.

You can tell Rudy is nervous. He doesn't make those turnovers and throw up air balls often.

About as good of a first quarter as you can have from Gay, aside from that turnover in the last few seconds. Love the energy. Hopefully we'll see DD and Gay hook-up frequently.

No Ross at the rookie/soph challenge?

That's just asinine.

Imagine running a small-ball lineup of Lowry-Ross-Demar-Gay-Johnson....that'd be pretty fun to watch. Then throw Val in as the C when he's healthy...imagine the hustle...

Yup. He's easily been a top 10-12 rookie IMO.

Gay just got off the plane and stepped onto the court for his first action as a Raptor against a top NBA team, and he's been the best player on the court so far.

One thing about Ross is he needs to be more consistent. He's smart as in he takes good shots and does the right things but he needs to e more consistent with that shot.

Yay, Jonas is back. It'll be interesting to see how rusty/off he is because of the injury. A broken bone in your shooting hand/fingers ****s up pretty much every meaningful basketball skill a player has aside from defending your man.

At least the mechanics are good so that bodes well for his future.

When someone gets an offensive tip-in, do they get 2 points and a rebound or just the 2 points?

His numbers aren't great, but he should be there just for his dunks.

I think they get the rebound. But I can't be sure.

Well that just goes without saying. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Toronto gets called for a travel when the other team has the ball.
