Milwaukee scored 8 tonight against OKC. The Oil Barons are nothing without their NHL players. Maybe this will be a corner turned in the season. Puustinen had a hat trick, doubling his goal total for the season. Smith made 44 saves, allowing 2 goals, both on the PP. The Ads scored their first PPG in 30 tries and had a shorty.

8!? Ads completely steamrolled OKC.

Taylor Beck averaging almost 3 shots per game. He needs to make an appearance with the big club at some point along with the usual cast and crew.

It looks like Winchester has 4 points (1g, 3a) in 4 games. How has he looked for the Ads? Does it look like he would be capable of playing on the fourth line full time with the Preds?

It's actually 4 points (1g, 3a) in TWO games. He's an NHL vet playing against AAA players and prospects. I've actually wanted him for a couple of years for our bottom line. Wouldn't mind adding him sooner, rather than later...

Sorry about that. I meant to type two games but I was half asleep when I wrote that this morning. I would like to hear from some Ad's fans who have seen him play. If he is still throwing his body around and chipping in occasionally he would be an upgrade on the 4th line. Clune is trying but if Winchester hasn't lost a step he would be the better choice.

Good scouting report. He seems to be a leader on the ice and the bench. Milwaukee can use his size and NHL experience. Four points in his first two games is excellent!

Glad to see the Admirals beat writer was more interested in reminiscing about playing basketball back in the old days and talking about the sweater he wore in his picture than answering questions on the team he covers.

I read the blog. The questions were too few and were poorly worded. I guess that most Admirals fans gave up on the Urinal Senile coverage. TMJ is too busy running stories on who the Packers might draft

BTW, did you hear Donald Driver retired? You may have missed the 12 hours of nonstop coverage on that incredibly important story that everyone knew was going to happen even before it was announced.

Milwaukee hosts Chicago, a week after scoring 8 against OKC. Cam Reid and Daniel Bang are playing after missing 8 and 15 games respectively.

Beck was benched in the first period of last night's 5-2 loss at home to Chicago. The Admirals fell behind 5-0 in that game. Chicago scored 6 minutes into the game. Beck slashed a guy in the neutral zone. The Wolves scored on the PP to make it 2-0. It was 4-0 at the end of the first period. I think the coach was blaming Beck's play for the way the period unfolded. He called a timeout after the second goal. Evason's remarks indicated that he has warned the players not to commit stupid penaties, especially in the neutral zone; he wants his players sticks on the ice!

Michael Latta slashed in the neutral zone in the second period and he was also benched. Chicago scored a second PP goal on Jarvinen's high sticking penalty. That made it 5-0 at 5 minutes into period 2. Jeremy Smith played well, he didn't get much help out there. The defense and the offense were both poor and porous, in front of 7500 fans.

I still like Beck's offensive upside for this Preds team, but if not him then Austin Watson is pretty close to being ready.

It is tough to score when you sit the bench for 2.5 periods. Nashville needs to draft more offensive players. They can't just be all about defensemen and goalies.

We have been. Leipsic, Aberg, Vesey all have nice offensive upside. But I agree we need to draft more and this draft is the perfect opportunity, full of depth and great players deep into the second round.
