I take back most of what I said about Florida while watching their first game.

But, man, they really looked good.

Tampa has looked good though.

Lindback playing well and the defence is much improved from last year.

Tampa Bay is a very, very offensive team right now. Perhaps the most fun team to watch in the world right now?

Prioritizing the offensive game but... from a Swedish point of view. It for sure looks like Hedman finally will be having his true breakout season. He looks increadible so far, KHL was good for him being put in a much more offensive role.

Quoting Marty St. Louis.
"I feel we're attacking, with four, sometimes five. I felt last year, we didn't have the juice or the personnel to do that. I don't think so. I like the way our team is playing, and not just what ends up on the score sheet. I'm excited the way we're playing."

I agree. Tampa Bay is really exciting team to watch, I wish my own team would be able to play hockey like that.

Last night's Floridva vs Tampa Bay was really fun to watch.

I'm actually surprised Boucher is employing such a style. Good for him.

Marchand just schooled both Myers, Miller and Leopold. He might be a little puke, but he can play.

Mueller ties the game for Florida with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd period.
Fleischmann with two assists earlier.
Nice to see these two have some success.

3rd assist for Fleischmann

I'm starting to think Bäckström isn't as good as people think, or he's regressing.

He just plays without emotion or intensity and when he can't dish the puck to Ovechkin on the PP or on a breakaway, he's looking like bad-Stastny out there.

He's probably still a top 30 center, but people still think of him as a top 10 center. I don't see it.

Backstrom is good, but only ~70-75 point good. He is a good setup man, but frankly isn't a very good goal scorer. I'd be surprised if he ever score more than 25 goals again. Also, no surprise that his two great seasons coincide with two of Ovi's best seasons.

Remember when people said Avs were the fastest team in the league. Since then we lost Winnik, Liles, Cumiskey and Galiardi. Avs are still a decent skating team, but they're not flying like they used to.

They might sell out their games, but there are more empty seats when Detroit plays at home compared to Pepsi Center when Avs play.

Ovy looking much much better, he's attacking the defenders with speed and being aggressive. He also got a penalty for being reckless. Which is a good thing IMO, that's what made him good.

It's getting real ugly in Florida.

Tampa annihilating the Jets.

Now already 6-0 after 25 minutes.

Yea that got ugly fast.

Conacher has been playing so good for them, possible Superstar in the making IMO.

He and Tarasenko both look like Superstars on the ice. Better then Yakupov and Galchenyuk so far.

Hitchcock wanting a PMD on each pairing (Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk, Russell) reminds me of when Avs did the same with Liles, Cumiskey and Hunwick. I guess the idea wasn't flawed but when two of the PMDs are quite useless at the actual puck moving part it doesn't work all that well.

Dear God Tyler Myers is freaking horrible, he looks worse than ROB out there and that's no hyperbole.

Galchenyuk has looked very good IMO. When he gets a bit stronger he should develop into a very good player for Montreal. I don't quite know what to think of Yakupov yet. He is fast and has a damn good shot, but beyond that you really don't notice him much.

From the Medias in Montreal , Galchenyuk is and will be a better player than Yakupov.
They said that if the NHL had to redo the draft again , Galchenyuk would go number 1
