Went to our first baby B's game on Sunday. We have Bruins season tickets and the wife bought me tickets to the Providence game when they were still on lock out. Went to Bruins opening night Saturday and the Providence game Sunday. Had a blast, loved the fights and almost brawl after the Whale goalie got hit a couple times. Total domination by the Bruins, played most of the game in the Whale zone

Anyway, I'll admit I don't follow the Providence team as well as I should even though I knew most of the names, but my big observation from the day was that Ryan Spooner appeared to be on a whole other level compared to everyone else on the ice. Incredibly fast and beating guys to the puck. Can't wait to see what he can eventually do with the big club too.

Cool, I hope he won given his huge size advantage over Bourque. Looks like Sunday's game would've been a fun one to watch.

Spooner is developing nicely, right now hes 14th in AHL rookie scoring, about 4/5 of those players are older and many ahead of Spooner played more games. He is certainly amongst the best rookies in the AHL this year.
Love it!

Anyone know what's up with Svedberg? He's not in Manchester tonight...Hutch is starting and someone else is backing him up...

Edit: I think the backup is Adam geregosian...I think he's a real estate agent now LOL.

Providence is shut out 3-0 despite having 42 SOG.

Hutchinson allowed 2 goals on 23 shots. He doesn't appear to be playing well this season, with a 4-10-1 record.

There also was an EN goal.

They don't score in front of him either.

No idea about Svedberg, I honestly forgot they were playing tonight so I didn't listen.

Colby Cohen sent to the Sting Rays today ... Likely spurred by the need for minutes after recovering from his injury, but damn, this has been a long time overdue.

Hope he buys a condo there

Went to the game last night. The team looked good (hard not to when you win 6-1.) Svedberg played very well, couldn't see Portland's goal too well.

Krug scored a couple goals and seemed to be moving/ skating well all night.

I've been to 4 games this season and Tardif has scored in each game. Each time, he's been in a dirty area and last night was no exception. He was in the slot and received a nice pass and buried. Probably the "cleanest" goal I've seen him score.

Max Suave converted on a breakaway, couple little dekes and shot it in, hitting the inside of the post...nice goal.

Spooner was Spooner. He didn't show up on the scoresheet save for one assist, but he moved the puck well most of the night and had some quality chances.

Seems like krug has really picked up his offensive production the last few games. How has he looked? Is he the front runner for a ference replacement for 2014 at this point?

hmmm....yes, he spent a lot of time working out at the gym last summer and looks bigger. It will be interesting to see how the Bruins training staff sets him up this off season.

Wally, I'd say if I was the 'guess guy' at the State Fair, would put him at about 5'11" and 180. (btw wasn't Yaz and Hank Aaron about that size)

Trotman was back on the ice today but is not cleared to play.

Per Mark Divver: Trotman (concussion) not cleared to play & will miss wkend, but return next wk. likely. Called Colin McDonald hit that hurt him clean

3-2 shootout win in BPort tonight, Tardif with his 21st, Krug 2 assists and one for Spooner. Other goal came from Cunningham and Camper had an assist and the SO winner. Svedberg stopped 34 of 36.

Tomorrow night @ the Dunk versus Albany.

Good win tonight, 5-1 over Albany. Couple goals for Sauve....although quite frankly the Devils goalie sucked. Hutch got a win, finally.

Four straight for Providence and they're 24-16-0-3. Not hearing much complaining about them these days.
