You are so right, HHH owes his career to Foley, Foley made him look like a million bucks, and what does HHH do? always trashes Mick behind his back. HHH stomped on so many guys, Kane and RVD's careers could have been made by him, but HHH refused to give them the gold
What?
Kane was already "made" when he had his program with HHH, RVD to an extent I give you, but that had more to do with RVD then HHH.
agree with most of the opinions here...HHH was/is one of my all time faves...but most of it is based on his mic work...he worked solid matches, but like Bret said, they're all based on what the other person carried him to...
Hart was talking from an innovation standpoint. Sure, he's right that HHH is not the most innovative wrestler. What did he bring to the WWE that was different. A sledgehammer?

Who is Bret Hart to talk about innovation when he is nothing but a Dynamite clone himself?
Punk isnt an innovator and neither was Mysterio. Both are cheap rip offs of Maeda and Blue Demon, respectively. All that shoot proves is Bret Hart lives in a bubble, a bubble he has stated hasnt watched WWE programing for how long yet can give his opinion on HHH's body of work.
Nobody gets caught up in his own lies better then Bret Hart.
Martini on his anti-Bret Hart diatribe again. Would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic, trying to pass himself off as someone who has some knowledge of wrestling beyond what he last looked up on the internet.
I never really had an issue with HHH's in-ring work, and he will go down as one of the all-time greats despite what Bret's opinion is of the man personally or professionally.

That is clearly another topic of debate on its own. All I said is that he was talking from an innovation standpoint, and from that view, its tough to argue about HHH.
We can make another thread about Bret Hart and his ego.

Do we really need another one where Martini heels off on him?
comparing Mysterio to Bleu Demon, is like saying Big Show is a clone of Andre the Giant....
Lucha Libre during Blue Demons era has nothing to do with what current Luchadores can do. (hell even his dad the orginal Rey Mysterio has nothing on his son, i dare to say.)
Same with the Guerreros or people you may be familiar with.

Uh really, ever watch the 60 minute iron man match with HBK?

But the thing is, hart wasnt any type of innovator so why should his opinion matter?

Show was a clone of Andre when he started and was a carbon copy of the guy for years. Dont know how his name is brought up....
BD was doing the extreme lucha style, along with El Santo decades ago and sure enough, Mysterio was obviously a student. Not to mention the 619, a move that Mysterio gets credit for creating, was done again, decades ago by Sayama.

Kid and Hart are basically the same age and there career starts in WWF/WWE are very close. If anything they developed together.
Dynamite Kid was a legend in Japan before he ever came to the WWF. Billington was forced to bring Bret Hart on tours with him.
and come to think of it. Stylewise they are not very comparable. You just quoted the matches with Tiger Mask. Kid was imho a much higher intensity guy and was sort of a flyer as well. Much better comparable would be Benoit perhaps.

Benoit was a complete clone of Billington. Hart was nothing but a imitation.
