so what angles, gimmicks, promos, matches (including results) have made you go "why the hell did they do this?"
i guess we can nominate this past Raw as an example....
obvious choice for me was the return of Razor Ramon and Diesel to WWF as they owned the names.... Really? lol even as a kid i felt they were insulting me.
Buzz Roadkill in WCW ripping off Road Dogg's entrance. "It's me! It's me! It's the B-U-Double Z!"
That was the moment I stopped watching WCW until it was bought.

Wasn't there a WCW match between Hogan and Flair that was supposed to be last man standing or something and it ended on a pinfall?
Ha ha found it Strap match and both guys go for the pin during the match. Hogan gets the pin and they ring the bell before he makes it to the fourth corner.

I think a facepalm moment to me was when they put the Killer Bees together and tried to push of B Brian Blair as a legit wrestler when before his return back to WWF (he was away for a year or so) he had a career as a jobber that made the Brooklyn Brawler look like Lou Thesz in comparison.
I remember when Jesse The Body Ventura brought this up to him in an interview (and in a in your face way) you could see that Blair was genuinely bothered by this question.
I cracked up.
I remember this promo the Undertaker did in 1999 after the whole Corporate Ministry thing disbanded. He was tag teamed with the Big Show to form the "Unholy Alliance". On an episode of Raw, Undertaker comes out and cuts probably the worst promo of all time where he, Paul Bearer and the Big Show ride their motorcycles to the desert carrying shovels, burying whoever crosses their path.
Then Chris Jericho comes out, I believe this is his second appearance after debuting, cuts a promo stating the Undertaker/Big Show came out here to talk about jack**** and wasting our TV time prompting us to change the channel looking for "a new hero"...then Jericho rips both of them saying "their new hero has arrived!" and the crowd erupts LMAO.
Whoever remembers that promo, just watch Taker say it...I was confused the whole way through.
The character Eugene was a flop from start to finish, IMO.
Not the WWE career Nick Dinsmore had in mind, I would imagine.
Actually Eugene was a pretty big hit for a short time in 2004. They put him on TV more and more after he first appeared because he was so popular. The problem was a gimmick like that won't stay popular for long, like years and years. NOt to mention his substance problems didn't exactly help.
Remember how WCW used to tie-in things like NASCAR (the WCW race car) and movies (because of Time Warner) during Nitro and Thinder. Well, who can forget the legendary scene between Rick Steiner and Chucky in 1998 just prior to Halloween Havoc. What's even funnier is Rick challenging Chucky to a fight!
Why was Steiner pushed so much? He sucks on the mic and in ring work stinks.
Pre Big Poppa Pump Steiner was fantastic in the ring. Athletic, agile and could also do high flying moves. Then he bulked up so much he could barely move and developed back problems to boot. I doubt he could even wipe his own ass by the end.

Steiner is one of the most entertaining people on the mic ever. His in ring work was awesome before he got "the largest arms in the world" and after that he had a great look. Not the look that the IWC likes of course, but the look that the people who actually call the shots want.

He could barely move, but he could still do a sweet Frankensteiner haha.
