Myself, Marc Bergevin and Michel Therrien have a ridiculous opinion. Ignorant too.
I see you haven't watched Leo Komarov yet.
And yes, the 3 or you have a ridiculous opinion on the subject that is very ignorant. What exactly about any 3 of you proves that those 2 things cannot be true? Ignorance rarely comes from a large sample size of people from across 2 large countries with differing views and opinions, but rather a small group (oh say 3) like minded people.
I didn't think it was possible for me to hate the Habs organization more, but sure enough there it is.
What a joke.
Yea right, every time they have brash cocky players like Lapierre, Ribeiro, Subban and sometime Price people crap on them and when they want to turn it around and have a more respectful team, people crap on them for that too? Decide wich is wich people.
For one thing outsiders have no idea of the context in Montreal, it's easy for players to think they are superstars when they're not.
Who is to say this Triple-Low-Five wouldn't become yet another in a long line of epic Habs traditions?
You're never going to get new traditions if you forbid everything that isn't already 'traditional'.
Nor does it strike me as a particularly 'self-centered' act. It's not avoiding other teammates or anything. It's just a special little thing that 2 of a team's franchise players do when they win. Whatever. Do other teams ban stuff like a certain guy in the hall before a game psyching up their starting goaltender? No...because it's asinine to fret about this stuff.
And basically, it's just something that adds a bit of fun, excitement, and a unique 'culture' for the fans of a very enthusiastic fanbase.
The whole thing just comes off as a preemptive strike by Therrien against Subban in trying to create a bland, cookie-cutter team. It's a power-trip, and it's incredibly stupid and a trivial thing for the coach to involve himself in.
You'd think if it was a team issure, the Captain would address it.
MT is a friggin' idiot.
This sort of stuff is so outside the realm of a coaches reasonable jurisdiction.
You are my pawns my players, and you shall do exactly as i please!!! Now go forth, and do my bidding (without celebrating in ways i don't like).
If it was honestly an issue...it's something the Captain and leadership group should address. Nevermind the fact that guys like Subban and Price are a big part of the core and leadership of that team going forward...
Saluting fans together only because you've told to do so. And banning everything else. That's awkward, artifical, sickening, dictatorial and so on. It's very nice when it's natural, but this.. Disgusting.
This is precisely the reason the NHL will never come close to the marketing level of NFL and NBA.
It's like the league is run by a bunch of oldies from the Wiserhood commercials.
THE WISERHOOD! I remember those, I was always angry that they never showed how drinking whiskey really goes...I mean those guys should really be fighting each other for no good kind of reason at all, if you're being realistic.
