gaahgaah..so stupid!!!

vatanen just surfed abit in AHL didnt have to prove anything ALRIGHT!!!??? he WAS for the team in 2012-2013alright!??

put bobby ryan in AHL for ten games, maybe he would do 1+1 and you go he didnt make it there, byebye NHL? STUPID!...there are reasons for things and IN THE END THE PLAYER QUALITY COUNTS ALRIGHT!??
That isn't the same thing at all. Bobby Ryan is an established NHL talent. He's a consistent thirty goal scorer. Vatanen is not a proven talent, and personally, if he surfed through the AHL that isn't very professional. Nor does it really get him in game shape for the NHL. That, in no way, makes Vatanen sound better. It makes him sound entitled, and really, that doesn't sound at all like what I've heard about him.

71 after latest patch as far as I know. But his potential was 2 1/2 green stars and that pissed me off

They may just not have done their research. As much as I might question his complete game(which I definitely expect to get better), in terms of offensive ability and puck movement, he belongs in the NHL, and he brings a high level offensive game.

hello! EENOK´s here once more!

i told ya. vatanen´s great.

as i earlier said fasth should be nr1.hiller i would bench. w hiller on goal anaheim IS NOT a winning team.simple. shaky , letty and team is shaky too w him in goal.

souray great for team. very easy to say beforen season that A HIT. great defensive defenseman., also offensively

iwould throw out lydman or sbisa, and the other one would go on very limited icetime. dont understand lydman fanatics. shaky, misstaker, reading game bad etc

vatanen is good defensive an offensive

(Finnish) Game commentator said that Vatanen just proved that he definitely belongs to NHL, and it would be unlikely that he is sent back down to AHL, what do you think?

Also, how the hell did he beat Lindholm to be first one called up, Exit Dose? Lindholm was supposed to be above him in depth chart!!!

You also said Vatanen was better than Fowler.

No one has denied Vatanen is a terrific young player, but you were claiming he was a 1st pairing defenseman.

And I don't think you know enough about Anaheim, or the players, to be making claims that players will ruin Anaheim.

And rightly so. He wasn't a liability defensively, but man as he manhandled at times. Some good plays, and some not so good. Boudreau tried hard to limit his D responsibility, and props to Sbisa for the game he played, letting Vatanen play his.

Yes, I think Sami is going to help our PP, unlike Souray he can blast it and also make quick decisions with the puck. It's pretty funny eenok's most hated player was protecting Sami though

Limpholm, of all things. Does being Finnish mean you don't know the difference between a p and a d? You're full of crap, dude.

Anyone know the difference between numbers and athletics?

Agreed. Both have that quick pass ability, and it was already on display tonight. With Vatanen shooting right, it just creates some more options. I'm also assuming that we'll see Vatanen moving the puck up a bit more. Vatanen at the point also frees up Fowler to do his roaming thing, and that seems to be when he's at his most dangerous on the PP.

The PP was the top reason I liked the idea of giving Vatanen a shot. Souray has a wicked shot, but he really wasn't able to move the puck quickly to spread out the opposing D. We've been missing that.

Edit: Occupy beat me to the punch there.

Did a damn good job of it too. Real solid game from him, I think.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lindholm end up a better all-around player than Vatanen. He doesn't have Vatanen's offensive ability, but he is an incredibly smart player, and he plays with a smooth confidence that reminds me of OEL. You're not giving Lindholm enough credit.

Also, as Occupy said, this was just one game. It was a very encouraging one, no doubt, but Minnesota really did not press offensively, and their forecheck wasn't really a factor. A bigger, more aggressive team(like the Kings) could make life very hard on Vatanen. I don't think he has secured a permanent spot, and Boudreau might want him in vs. some teams, but not others at first.
