A gem to watch. They can certainly light the lamp. They are solid 5v5. Great on the PP. They all look like theyre having fun out there.

Goaltending and staying healthy will be key for them

Nah, watch now as soon as they go on the road they'll crumble again. We were terrible on the road last season. We've been lucky so far. We got a lot of these teams on back-to-back nights and Ottawa and Philly played their backups. It won't be the same when we have to face goalies like Bryzgalov and King Henrik. Lindback has been playing a lot too. Could be more than he's ready for. Watch for the collapse.

Exactly why nobody on the lightning board jumped the gun with threads.
We know we've played some of the easier teams, and Ottawa was the toughest team up till now and they had their backup in net, but to the lightning defense, even if they played weak teams, they're absolutely tearing them up offensively.

True test comes this following week with the Rags twice, Bruins, Flyers, Devils and the Habs.

Salo-Hedman looks like a legit number one pair. What was the reason Canucks didn't re-sign him?

Salo was pissed at his fellow European Hedman for being so horrible. So he decided to mentor him......so far it has been a massive failure. Soon it will be Death for Seth!

Nah...TB has to get rid of that terrible, horrible, no good, very bad contract of VL4. Maybe a 3-team deal involving Montreal?

Not at all, Sharks and Chicago would both shut us out by at least two touchdowns.....

I'm with you brother, this team is garbage. Hopefully Yzerman realizes it soon and starts unloading what few moveable assets we have for whatever he can get.

MAB is our best defensemen.....the fact that he isn't used more than what he is, is mind boggling to say the least.

We should call up some guys in the minors, but they suck as well. Tyler Johnson and Barberio......These guys aren't even first rounders. They lack talent!

Honestly, why not? I thought they had a strange season last year and underacheived. They have a fine team and it will be their forward corps that will carry them but in 2011 they were one game away from the Cup final and no one found that strange. Stamkos is such a dominant force now and St. Louis reminds me of Dick Clark, he never ages. If Lecavalier can have a good year too then that is some mighty offensive support. We'll see.

Exactly. Do they even use NHL players in the Southeast? I thought it was strictly for AHL guys.

Nah the SE is a league in it's own, for the guys too good for the AHL but not capable of playing in the NHL.

That Conacher guy could never post those kinds of numbers against real NHL teams, and they have a 37 year old leading their team in scoring, what a joke.

I can't tell if serious or not.

Bolts have been one of the best Franchises and has surpassed a lot of the northern Franchises in Attendance as well.

I think they're a playoff team for sure. Their PP is pretty deadly at this point. Vinny looks a little bit look his old self. My only question mark for them is in net. Lindback looks like he has bright future but I'm not if he be the guy to carry them in the playoffs right now.

We love Salo, but we couldn't give him the term he was looking for (were only able to offer a 1 year deal, likely due to the impending Edler Raise).
