It looks like Dallman indeed will be suiting up for Kazakhs. As could be Sandis Ozolinsh for us...

Apparently Weaver isn't going now and will be replaced by Stevie Lee

It's now confirmed that Murphy is not going and will be replaced by Lyle

Who will be the #1 goalie is still unclear

Some nice coverage in The Times!

Last time ice hockey got in a national newspaper was thanks to a certain HFBoards poster who I shall not name

Amazing BBC interview with Carl Erhard's son, Erhardt was the captain of the 1936 team that won the gold medal in 1936 in Germany. In the video he shows off his father's memorabilia including his medal, pictures from the games, and hockey equipment used at the time.

My first guess at where he lives was Surrey (probably the poshest county in the country), it was a good guess I must say the interior of his house looks amazing, it's like the inside of a 100+ year old pub. I googled the village where he lives and it looks very Victorian.

Something wrong with flashscores. Keeps giving goals to the wrong team. 3-1 Kazakh's now.

We're pretty screwed, not going to lie.

But this has been great for media coverage and the whole hockey community has been getting behind the team

I haven't logged on to HF in ages, but couldn't resist after seeing how our national team got through to the final qualifier. I gather we're unlikely to win any of our games but what a leap forward this is!

Also delighted to see Ice Hockey getting front page sports coverage on the BBC... now if only we could address the problem of a chronic shortage of ice rinks in the UK.

Predictions for today's game?

No doubt. But I think just getting here and the coverage will be good. Hopefully make it more exposed to the market in this country and attract more people. 3-2 Kazakh's at the moment.
