many positive reviews on Brodziak

http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=36119

a lot of nice things said about Brodziak (and a mix on Perry)... what a find by the scouting staff on this kid. How many 7th rounders (7th, right?) make Canada's WJC team?

Perry sounds like anti-Moreau... wicked hands but very soft. I dunno... sounds like a chance possibly worth taking.

Whew!

I was thinking that maybe my copper coloured glasses were clouding my vision for a bit.

I am glad I am not the only one who though Brodziak was very impressive in the game against the OUA team.

man.... wouldnt it be nice for brodziak to actually pan out and become a legitimate NHL contributer? when was the last time edmonton had a late draft pick be an impact player anyhow? i know its not very often..... its about time the law of averages works FOR us instead of AGAINST us, lol...... *crossing fingers*

Boyd Devereaux? If not, then (gasp), Ryan Smyth. Things are looking up though.

well..... i guess it would be smyth right now.... im not including hemsky, because there are still a couple picks that edmonton took ahead of him that may turn out ok

but this just reinforces all my previous points concerning young players and how it is very rare indeed for an impact player to not be impressive very quickly after being drafted.... so the longer we wait to give rita and company a shot, the less (statistically) chance there is that one of them will work out

Kyle's in. Bank on it. He had an amazing night tonight against the OUA. 1 goal and 2 assists and he seemed to find his niche playing alongside Tambellini and Crosby. He also played with Carter and Getzlaf and certainly didn't look out of place.

Team Canada cannot possibly look at his play and cut him now. Good news for Oiler fans.

He had better be in, the fix is in big time if he doesn't make it after these past two games.

Terrific pass to Crosby to spring him on that 2 on 1. If I had to single out the best thing I like about him, it would be his ability to make good plays with the puck all over the ice. He's not spectacular, just very solid and makes very few dumb mistakes with the puck on his stick.

Looks like JDD did well tonight too, only goalie not to let in a goal.

I was also really impressed by his positioning without the puck. In the Russian challenge series he always seemed to find some open ice in good scoring position.

He's also very quick and agile for a 19 year old kid who's 6'3". The list goes on and on...

Kelly + Bonsignore turned into Hamrlik, or is that the sort of thing you had in mind?

Ah yes, the good ol' spork!

Reminds me of the time I took my ex-sweetie out to dinner on Valentine's Day...

Yup he did pretty well. But he looked a bit scrambly at times. (A little unorthodox) A couple of loose rebounds here and there but he managed to jump on any loose pucks or hold it somewhere in his equipment.

Ward is definitely out of the picture so it's a tossup between Harding and Jeff. It wouldn't surprise me to see Harding selected though. Hold your breaths people. :p Tomorrow's phone call is going to be a doozy.
