Pretty funny hearing the difference in responses of two Canadians vs. three Americans.
Clarkson and Zajac clearly had no idea what they were saying. Harrold, Carter, and Gionta looked thrilled to be talking about something other than hockey.
I wouldn't look into the Tedenby thing too much. I had a dream nights ago Tedenby was back up this weekend, and the trip to Albany was just a scare. There would be no point in sending him up there, and bringing him back before he could play a game there. If they just wanted him out of the lineup they could have just sent down Janssen first before they sent him down.
I did say sometime almost 24 hours ago though that I foresaw something minor happening today like the possibility of Anderson going back. That wound up happening, and I see something else happening after the weekend. Likely not a trade just yet, but I feel little by little Lou is cleaning house before he pulls the trigger. Tedenby, and Janssen to Albany this week showed me he's slowly making an assessment of the situation, and that changes are coming. I NEVER thought Janssen would get demoted either after making the opening day roster.

Same here. With all the talk of how good he was for the locker room, I thought he'd be our permanent scratch. I guess Barch made him redundant in a hurry. Maybe Barch will even score a goal this season before Lou makes him as unnecessary as Janssen last year!

Barch is a lot better than Janssen I'll say that much. He even had some good shifts both games he was in. He's a lot better than any of the goons we've had in some time.
I think Janssen was just the odd man out. Someone else said he's a good 14th forward, but we don't have room for 14 forwards cause of all the defensemen. He also was on a two way which no other non entry level player on our team had. I have to believe Lou told him during camp we might have to send him down at some point. It's what he signed up for. If he's re signed we might see him back next year. I doubt this year though. He seems like the kinda guy who won't complain, and will play wherever he's told. Unlike Boulton who cried to the media when he was waived, and then said he's gonna show the coaches he deserves to play in the playoffs.
Janssen doesnt mind at all. Lou has treated him very well over his career.
Yea i would say. I dont believe Janssen would be in the NHL right now if it wasnt for Lou. Meaning if we had not signed him i dont think anyone would have.
We absolutely should be able to beat Pitt. They don't look that amazing, that D is really shakey, and we historically are able to get to MAF. Marty needs a bounce back game and we need a win.
MAF is back to being swss cheese again, and he gets the start today. A strong defensive effort like against Boston and get our offensive game today, we should be able to pull out a regulation win.
