Just checking, as he really wouldn't have a dance partner on the Habs. And frankly, after his battering of Thornton hopefully his thirst for destroying another human being has been quenched...for now.

edit: I should mention, I traded Vanek in my FHL sim league this summer....so yeah, big idiot, right here.
We've been missing several forwards also, so he's started every game. If everyone were healthy I doubt he would start against a team like Montreal though. It would probably be...

Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville
Foligno-Ennis-Stafford
Leino-Grigorenko-Ott
Gerbe-Hecht-Kaleta, with Ellis, McCormick, and Scott to choose from depending on the opponent

Thanks for the info guys.

p.s. The entirety of the NHL loved that fight vs Thornton, for what it's worth.

Have a good game this afternoon, but not too good.

Yeah reading TSN comments was fun...thanks for the support. Our teams can at least bond with a common hatred. I know if all three teams were in an alley, it wouldn't end well for the Bruins.

It's in montreal? Hope Miller and the PK units are up for killing off at least 5 powerplays and an extended 5 on 3. Also, I really hope ruff splits up leo-myers

I'll say a 3-2 win in the skills competition.

Stafford
Pominville

Gionta
Markov (on a 5-on-3, naturally, late in the 3rd)

It's a lot easier to appreciate Stafford when you accept that he's a streaky scorer. He's a good player who gives an honest effort - one people don't give him credit for nearly enough.
Agreed. While he hasn't put up numbers yet, his effort this season has been some of the best that I remember seeing out of him. The example that he's been consistently setting on the ice is deserving of the 'A', in my opinion.

Need to stay out of the box, Montreal has one of the best PPs in the league again now that Markov is back.

Paul Hamilton reported yesterday that he saw Regehr and his foot was in the boot. Sounds like high ankle sprain that is slow to heal.

I think he is going to be out for an extended period.

I'll pile on this bandwagon too -- he's been much more involved in all facets of the play and is using his size more along the wall. I have no issue with what Stafford is doing.

Assuming Subban plays, I really hope he ends the game at minus 3, and gets beat off the corners consistently all game long. I am sick and tired of reading Canadian press claiming this guy is the second coming of Bobby Orr, he's a mediocre d-man with a limited shelf life in the NHL in my opinion, five years from now he's going to be a 5 or 6th d pairing guy that we can all sit around and talk about "remember when Montreal gave that guy a 2 year contract for over 5 million?"

A Buffalo win coupled with a minus 3 by Subban, that's what I'm rooting for today....

What's funny is that this is probably just as realistic as anyone on any other line scoring a single goal.
