That Kane one was an embellishment, not a dive. Doesn't belong in this thread.

Easy? That didn't look too easy doing a somersault.

Bobby Ryan just completed one of the all-time best dives I've ever seen. It was glorious.

Leddy had a pretty good embellishment at the 6:20 or so mark of the 3rd period.

Barely any dives or cheapshots in a canucks/hawks game, something is seriously wrong.

I liked how Crosby, sitting with legs straight out in front of him like a kid in a sandbox, acts surprised that Mr. Referee didn't reward his effort, then takes a swing at Brodeur's feet.
Oh, Sidney, you make it too easy!

We're all pretty sure what Elias' opinion was on the play, given the exchange he had with Crosby.

Crosby with the double play today both a dive and a slew foot. No way you can defend his slew foot/dive today. Down right embarrassing for the game.

Yeah Crosby dove on Elias, no denying that.
I'll bring in another dive, Crosby's "tripping" call to end the first period, I forget who he "tripped" but the Devils player went down pretty easily.

Pretty sure Crosby expected Elias to lean on him and try to slow him down from driving to the net. Except Elias didn't and backed off completely. Sid was watching the puck and tried leaning back on Elias and fell.
I don't think it was a dive or a penalty. I watched it a couple times. I could be wrong, but it looked that way.

if diving has absolutely no place in the game, then you might as well throw out half the league.

Seriously? Crosby slid all the way to just before the crease, legs out in front of him and spinning his head like Linda Blair looking for a sympathetic ref. He made no effort to get back up and get back into the play. Crosby looked incredulous that nobody called a penalty.

Just to be clear, you're promoting diving as a skill, right?

Ref called a penalty immediately. Did you even watch the play?
